Good Morning Ms. Thea! I'm relatively very new to Metrobank, but I can see they have upgraded their app or system in terms of credit card transactions na. Parang Citi yung system nila sa app kasi for instance, nagswipe ka amounting to PHP 500, it will be reflected immediately doon sa app with a status ("unposted") and status "posted" after a day or two. Convenient sya for us MB CC holders kasi namomonitor natin if it is an unauthorized/fraud transaction. Of course, I took in to consideration na itong vlog mo na was uploaded a year ago, and by that time 'di pa gaano naupgrade or naupdate. hehehe. safe swiping po! And I'm a subscriber too! 😉😊

Hello thea. Very informative ang vlog mo na ito. Madami ako natatunan tungkol sa 3 credit card series mo. Btw, yung eastwest mo i heard na pag umabot ng 300k ang credit limit mo dun pwede mo paconvert sa platinum which is no annual fee forever. Try mo 😃 gusto ko sa kanila is mababa loan interest nila as low as 0.35

I think the main downside of all credit card companies here in the PH is the fraud protection. Haven't experienced having unauth charge (hope we never experience it) but having 0 fraud liability or at least a hope that the bank will be definitely to help us and investigate properly and efficiently will somehow make us comfortable using our cards. I just hope there are more and clear regulations here in the Phils to protect the consumers. Anyways, love the review as always!

Yung HSBC pwede nyo ipaconsolidate wherein pagaadd ang credit limit ng dalawang card, tapos ititira mo yung isang card na gusto mo. Separate limit na credit card RCBC, I have 3 card air asia, platinum JCB, platinum visa lahat separate. Eastwest you can convert it to platinum wherein no annual fee for life as long as yung limit mo is 300k and up.

Annual Membership Fee for the first supplementary card of BPI cc is free for life, not a promotion. :) For the 2nd to the 6th, they will have half of the AMF of the card variant

Hi Thea! Thanks for this video very informative. Just a question, I have monthly bills to pay sa mga property investments ko, usually thru bank transfer ang mode of payment. Kung gagamitin ko ba yung cc for payment kahit thru bank transfer mag-eearn ba ko ng kahit anong points/rewards/airmiles sa pag-gamit ng card? Thank you!

So 2 filipino channels yung papanuorin ko para matuto ako ng tungkol sa credit dito sa Pinas. 3 weeks crash course yung gagawin ko. 2 channels lang muna yung bibinge watch ko kase gusto ko alam na alam ko yung papasukin ko bago kumuha ng credit card gusto ko kase (NO PANGARAP KONG BUMILI NG CONDO OR HOUSE AND LOT) at dapat maganda yung credit score ko love your videos Thea salamat dito sa channel mo Bbibinge watch ko tong credit card/credit related videos mo ha thank you ingat lagi 😘

For BPI and BDO based on personal experience you can convert ung monthly (annual) fee to annual fee. and they waive it too depends on usage pala

BPI isnt that strict when waiving their cc'd annual fee but they have changed their conditions. as per my business manager they no longer allow spend limit to waive the annual fee

For HSBC, the platinum card was not much of a really high perks card. The premier credit card is their most expensive card which i think is better to compare to other gold/platinum cards from other banks.

Was able to avail HSBC Platinum na No Annual Fee For Life. Madalas mas promo sila na you can convert your transaction into 3 or 6 installments at 0% interest.

I agree with BPI. Like me residing here in Doha, ang tagal tagal bago ko nakausap yun customer service, nice naman yun pag uusap nahelp din nya ako kaso sobra tagal ng paghihintay.. So imagine yun load na nagamit ko pntawag. 🙄

Siguro true po yung sinabi nyo na mas malaki chance maapprove pg my citi credit card kna. Kasi ako first card ko is citibank so kada apply ko ng other cc citibank ang ref. ko since sya pnkamatagal ko na card lhat nmn approved. Ngaapply lng ako ng card pg no annual fee ang offer.

Pag medyo malaki na yung gross annual mo, tas a-apply ka ng no annual fee na card, mahirap ma-approve. Target ko sana makakuha ng lahat ng no annual fee cards, pero ang nakuha ko lang citi and pnb.

EDIT: as of 2022, ang most-used CCs ko na are my Citibank and BPI Visa Signature. Yes, nag reapply ako sa BPI kasi ang ganda ng discounts sa restaurants, palagi naka 50% off sa Wildflour, Raintree Restaurants, and Bistro Group to name a few. So far yung problems ko with BPI that I mentioned here addressed na -- like may OTP na for transactions vs nung last time I used. Phone banking has also improved by MILES! Yung last call ko regarding my card took minimal waiting period lang. I also use the Visa Signature to earn Mabuhay Miles since yung Citibank hindi na kasama sa partners ang Mabuhay Miles. Sa Asia Miles ko nalang siya tinatransfer. We have the same Metrobank cc but twice na akong na reject pa waive ng annual fee kasi yun na daw ang bagong policy nila since oct 2020 daw. How sad naman na their policy is not for everybody. 😅

I think BPI Visa Signature is one of the top go to cards. Generous P50 per airmile with other rewards perks for dining and shopping.

Hi Ms. Thea, ask ko lang po if pede ba kumuha ng installment beyond credit limit? For example 50k ang product, pero 40k lang limit, pero kukunin in 5 months so 10k/month. Never had a credit card. Thanks! :)

Just curious, in case ba na I pay my credit balance on the same day I use it, may accrued interest parin ba given na binayaran ko agad SAME day? For the sake of using credit card lang and magkaroon ng magandang credit history, sayang kasi ung daily basis na interest charge every time I use my credit card. Is that possible you think? or pwede rin namang only make payment a few days before your cut off (before billing period ends) para less interest?

Hello mam, Question po. Pano pag nag try ka mag pa reverse ng annual fee then nag matigas si bank and nag decide ka na i cancel and cut na ang card need mo pa din ba bayaran yung nag reflect na annual fee or hindi na? And mag rerelect kaya yun sa credit score mo as negative? TIA po sa advice.
