It amazes me how many of these people start off by saying they had fairly good childhoods. Mark digs a bit deeper and it comes out that they have had no decent role models and have been incarcerated from a very young age. I will never complain about my childhood ever again.

It’s hard for me to have sympathy for this guy. I was the victim of credit card theft and being a single mom, it almost ruined me .....it took forever for me to get it straightened out. It ruins your credit( and I had excellent credit) and basically your life for a long time. And I busted my ass working 3 jobs to make ends meet. I hope he realizes how his actions can really hurt someone and in my case, my child as well. He may not have been the one to hack, but he was on the receiving end and he’s still guilty.

If anything happens with your credit card while handling it "responsibly" like shopping, picking up money and not typing it out on websites and shit, there's almost nothing you could've done, except not getting one in the first place.

I saw that wink after the 26:00 mark!...lol. I hope for his kids that he does the YT well and that they get into it and benefit from positive experiences. I know my 3 sons identify with their fathers a lot, and they think it pre-destines them to a certain type of behavior. It is a constant injecting yourself into their daily lives, even if they don't appreciate it now, I have to be all over it. I tell them to be their own person, find their passions and interests and do that. (Passion, talent, hustle, in that order)

This is one of the first people I've heard who accepts the influence of MTV and contemporary youth culture in general, the Hip hop videos I saw acted as a lens to a constructed reality that I partly bought into as a young person. This young generation has a tough job in navigating modern culture, they have my sympathy

Agreed. I also think this new generation of kids are going to end up even more brainwashed and looking like this guy..with tattoos everywhere. We will just see a bunch of younger adults looking the same with a bunch of scribbles all over them while they are trying to look “different” I weep for the future.

The sad part is his life could have been really different if he had used that $60k income to pay off his debt instead of having a nice place and car. He would have come out of that job with money to live on instead of drowning trying to pay his rent and car and student debt.

As someone who has very little but has had their one credit card stolen electronically MANY times - RAGE. I feel RAGE. EDIT to add: Single mom putting kid thru college. Worked THREE jobs to put myself thru college. Ive been working overtime on the pandemic for over a year now, unpaid because you save people as a CALLING not for the money, and I hope this guy and those like him realize we all control how we react to hard circumstances. I was left for broke by my ex, literally buying a bag of sale potatos so my kid could eat, telling her I wasn't hungry. I worked my way out of that and back to my career. I don't make a lot of money and I put a lot towards my kids education. I get zero help with her and shes a great kid. Her reaction to her trials has been to get a 4.0 in college and work two jobs. When our ONE credit card gets stolen and all our auto pay bills bounce - SHAME on you for stealing from us. Its NOT harmless. Banks are not the Red Cross - what they lose, they pass on to those of us struggling in the way of high interest rates. You REALLY HURT people as much as stabbing them when you steal their only sense of security.

@@philinn4788 A Deadbeat Dad is a Thing, you know. What she is saying, is this churning out of cards, to be used to defraud folks, hurts the people who get by, using their cards to make ends meet. If that same victim only has that one viable card, then you're extra fooked. Used to be, the Bank would do a fraud alert, replace the card (average time of arrival = 2 weeks) and almost instantly credit the money back to your account...now, they make you wait 10 days for the return of funds. If you're financially embarrassed, that is a hard spot to end up in.

"Carding" that's an old school term. I used to do a lot of hacking back in the day and had an *ignorant* amount of card information including names, phone numbers, address, etc. This was before the CCV days and I really thought about using that information a handful of times, glad I never pulled the trigger and eventually deleted the file. I had kept it around as sort of a "trophy" but thankfully I saw how that could quickly and easily become a huge problem/liability in the future for whatever reason.
