Hi! ive been wering j-fashion for over 10 years. Let me try to explain. A lot of the first outfits shown could fall under the "soft sister" (old term) or "Kawaii" aesthetic, but what you kiddos know as "Cutecore" is really just Jojifuku. I highly encourage you to look up the origins of the style before stripping it of it's identity by just using "Cutecore". Cutecore as a term is a bit trickier and in my opinion, can cover several different styles. Jojifuku's history is long and kind of controversial, but the youtuber Cybergrl did a few videos on it.
Thank u for educating!! But just like "kawaii" Use to be called "soft sister" What's the problem with people calling jojifuku, cutecore? (Geninune question) Most people say its Americanized because of the "core" in cutecore but its like that in all aesthetics so I don't quite get it :)
@@BerryPweiouskawaii fashion and jojifuku has some ties with feminist self-expression in japan, similar to lolita or gyaru fashions rebelling against the constraining ideals of femininity. calling it "cutecore" sort of strips it of that history
@@seraph3m Ohh because of the history? That makes more sense, calling kawaii/jojifuku fashion would strip away it's meaning. Would it be more reasonable to call cutecore as its own style? Since cutecore is just inspired by kawaii and it just includes cute and sweet things in general? (Other than just japan kawaii aesthetics!! ^^)
@@FaeLovelyexacly I dress in jojifuku clothing (not in a weird way ) and they call me a uwu girl. But let’s be fr rn they have on sweatpants and a random black tee shirt it’s crazy that they try to judge our styles when they don’t know anything there selfs 🫶
Many people call me weird for dressing in pink and feminine (I am Transsexual, I used to be a woman but now I am a man but I still dress feminine) they call me childish but for me it is a very sweet and Striking because these days it is very common to see people wearing only black.(。•́︿•̀。)
The first is kawaii, but the second is jojifuku, which means “kids clothing” and it’s based on little girls clothings n stuff, but most ppl call it cutecore or sum
jojifuku IS little girls clothing. Mother garden is primarily a children's brand and Mezzo piano is the same. Calling jojifuku cutecore strips it of a lot of it's controversy, but also of it's interesting history. I wish people didn't use the term cutecore
@@AngelKitten7 Jojifuku is known for bad things but it doesn't make part of the sub, people just made it with a bad image. Cutecore is a racist term because is whitewashing
Very Scary Kawaii are shield volcano they are so powerful enough to reach vei 8 relantless attack of lava and ash cause fear this volcano i saw her she going to shoot lava bomb split on me
Okie that's your preference :) @randomspacefan For me personally I like Cute core more (The second one) because it features more nostalgic traits than kawaii.
@@Minorin222literally. The “cute core” version of kawaii is more popular so people often hate on the original versions or older versions of kawaii. It sucks
I'm right now in that phase (cutecore) and I showed my sister my dreamroom but then she said 'Mmmm no I don't think that matches you because emo does' and I was like 'Girl no!'
guys, kawaii is the correct way to say it.. cutecore is a racist term. ( I don't know English and I'm using a translator, sorry if there's something wrong )
@@itssavieNo, that’s Gurokawa, and the second one isn’t Cutecore, it is JojiFuku, Gurokawa contains Gore but JojiFuku doesn’t. The first one it’s just a westernized kind of Kawaii fashion.
lemme get this straigth for u: kawaii/kawaiicore is a STYLE. but then, there are many SUBSTYLES. (idk the names of any) and in this video, it shows the "childish" kawaii and the "teens" kawaii. hope this helps
