Creed Aventus or Roja Elysium

Hi there! So you're debating to go buy Creed Aventus or Roja Dove Elysium but can't seem to make up your mind which one to get. These are both expensive so you want to pick one out of the two. In this video I share my insights on the two in terms of smell and performance. The similarities and differences between the two according to my own experience. I hope this helps you with your decision.

Surely Roja's Elysium was inspired by Aventus, for those of you who say they don't smell anything alike. But for me, I don't like Aventus' drydown because it smells like when you open one of those packs of pencils as a kid. Led, pencil wood and all. Elysium seems to retain its fruitiness longer into the drydown.

Nice review. Aventus is a staple in fragcomm and I love it when it’s compared to other fragrances, because most of us have a bottle of it or clone within our collections. Thanks for the review as I’ve been considering purchasing that Roja. Your video helps a lot. Thanks.

I own both and enjoy both. There is a similarity between the two, but they are different enough to warrant purchasing both of them.

I wear Aventus and just recently got a sample of Elysium. I don’t smell similarities at all. Aventus is absolutely amazing and will continue to be my “scent” but the Elysium is pretty alluring. It takes me back to the days of Bath and Body Works Freesia spray days just ramped and refined. I’m a woman and love wearing both of these fragrances.

Unfortunately I have to completely AGREE with you on this comparison 🤭 I just received my Roja Dove Elysium Perfume today and although I prefer Roja Dove, but they do smell very similar 🥴😢 Now I’m wondering if I should return my Creed for something else 👀

I recently got my hands on sample of creed aventus. I had really high hopes for because of the hype and the price. However, when i smelled it i was not as surpised as i thought i would. Its a really good fragrance but i was not completely surpised. Roja might be my next to try

I was smitten when I smelled that drydown in the air. You will love the Roja but remember these 2 are versatile scents so not te most unique out there. Might be a little underwhelming at first but they serve a great use in any collection imo

So over the hyped Creed Adventus. Its a solid fragrance if you want to attract other male attention. As a mass women don't really like Adventus. Not just my opinion. Watch the many blind street comparisons. Go with Elysium

I have both. I have to say creed stays on me longer. Projection is good. Elysium Rocks but longevity is not there for me. 2 hours at best. After that it sits very close to the body. Thanks for video!

2020 Creed Aventus is a complete joke. I bought one in the UK in November 2020 and it was like water....performance about 1-2 hours. I have Roja Elysium on my skin now and it seems like a cross between YSL Y and Creed Aventus, but better perforce than Aventus (YSL Y is actually very good in this area). Too bad since Creed was sold and is now run by a former soda pop CEO, the products have suffered.

Nah was teasing. Fair review and yep I agree the newer batches of Aventus, I now got the (19S Lot number) 2019 batch is not far from other Aventuses after trying four other batches. Go Aventus for statement guys and just get Bleu de Chanel EDP if you're thinking of getting Roja. Waste of money. IMHO

*Great comparison between both freshies, Steve!* Didn't smelled Elysium EdC so far (because my sensible wallet hates Roja 😉), but I'll stick to my Creed trilogy for summer Aventus/GIT/VIW. That will serves me well so far for a looong time (depot lasts approx. 12-15 years). *Have a goodsmellin' day!* ✌️🌞☕

Both are amazing houses. Roja has a bit more regality about it, but to me creed just has the wearability and mass appeal to it. These two fragrances have a similar vibe but are actually very different. I love both of them but when it comes down to it I have to go with Aventus, especially the older 2014 and 2015 batches that I own.

silent sir agree 100%. I do roll my eyes when I watch reviewers say they don't get why Aventus is loved so much, I just wish they could of experienced pre 2014 Aventus and they'd know exactly why it was dubbed the King.

I smelled it first in 2013 and honestly I don’t feel like there is so much change since then. People seem to blow this thing out of proportion. I have 2015 batch and 2016 batch that are both really smokey and make me think of what I smelled at first. It might have changed over the years, but imo it’s still really good 😊

@@treefiddy2579 yeah, they definitely changed Aventus...it went from smelling incredible and really complex with a kind of sweet smoky fruity birch with leather accord (I know there was never any actual leather "note" in it, Im just talking about the impression I got from the smell), to now really being a loud, flatter sweet, fruity, birchy thing that still smells great, but its definitley missing that slight leather accord impression I got initially.

silent sir I know what you mean about the leather accord. In general it was just way more potent and smoky. I still have my 13q01 bottle with a drip left and as soon as I remove the cap I just get a waft of heaven. My current 17u01 is just a disappointment in comparison.

Fragrance with Steve Glad to hear it's still working well for you, perhaps the new 100ml bottles are really where it went downhill for Aventus. Speaking from experience on a 2013 vs 2017 batch there's huge differences.

I have yet to sample Hacivat but having smelled Fan your flames by this house I’m sure it will be a great quality scent. Really looking forward to try it some day

Your blanket response to my post tells me your being paid to advertise or have some sort of skin in the game for Aventus...the shit is severely over rated....sorry pal

Knowledge is Power you have no clue what you are talking about. I have purchase 4-5 creed Aventus in total and the projection and longevity is very poor. Yes around 7-8 years ago , Aventus was fantastic , now, it’s pointless buying a bottle as the scent disappears within an hour or two. It’s a shame as it’s a beautiful scent but not worth the price due to very poor performance and longevity

dont wear this at the gym, wear Hugo boss reversed instead… it is like 150 € cheaper… wearing a 200-300 € scent for the gym is for the most of the People out there waste of Money...
