This song has so much meaning to me... In 2009 I struggled with a drug addiction and I was at my complete rock bottom..I was ready to give up and I didn't want to live no more... I overdosed and woke up in the hospital, after months of treatment my therapist said go home listen to this song... June 18 of this year 2019 I celebrated 10 years sober and clean....😁😊😊😊

Just imagine 11-year-old me running around listening to this thinking nothing of it but music of an era. But here I am in 2024 34 years old realizing this was part of the soundtrack of my life.

Damn....I hadn't heard this song for what seemed like 20 years and then this morning while working at the airport, I hear it in the rental car I was driving back to the wash facility. I made it through first verse before completely losing it and having to compose myself before meeting with my new manager. I lost my Dad in January 7th and this song was like a complete gut punch from out of nowhere. After work, I decided to see if I could make it further that the first verse and nope...I had to stop it again. I love you, Dad. I'll see you again some day.

Lost my dad November 2023 at age 53.. I’ll be 30 soon without him… we use to jam to this in his blue Chevy truck years ago!!!🤟🏻 Music helps me a bunch missing him still and yes hurts at times!!! Found out my dad died of an overdose a few days ago. Due to his addiction I had distanced myself from him for most of my life. This song makes me tear up thinking about his last moments... and that no family was there for him when he passed. RIP KBJ

I've gone through addiction, rehab, multiple friends lost, but motherhood is by far the hardest task I've ever had in this life. To all the mothers who feel like they re on an endless treadmill, you're doing an amazing job and you were given the most important job in the world.

This video was on MTV when I was getting dressed for my dad's funeral. I was 14, I'm 34 now and I still really miss him. My dad told me once he'd give anything to spend 5 minutes with his own father. He said he stood at the right hand of his father's casket and expected me to do the same, which I did. I'll never forget seeing my dad in that casket. My knees almost buckled and I instantly knew what people mean when they say that

2010 the year of the last true new metal good songs. Hits hard, i miss the old good years.

It's been three years since I lost my father. This was one of his favorite songs and it brings me closer to him every time I hear it ❤️ I wish he were here to see how much I understand now and that I was proud of him. As long as this song plays I will be reminded of what I had with him

I know it sounds weird to say this, but Creed was the best concert I've ever been to! I saw them live with my mom (RIP) back during the 2012 Human Clay tour, I'm telling you, these guys had that crowd more hyped than any other bands I've seen at that venue. Creed sounded exactly like the album, Scott's vocals were freaking perfect, everyone was killing it. I will cherish that memory forever because my mom was with me, she passed away in January of 2018 and she was my best friend. Her name was Kim and she was 56yo when she passed away, she was a beautiful soul and she made me who I am. RIP Mom, I love you and I miss you very much. 🙏❤

Mark Tremonti is such a beast on the axe. I was never a Creed fan back in the late 1990s and early 2000s. I secretly loved some of their songs lyrically such as "My Sacrifice". Musically, Creed kicked ass! I've spent many hours thrashing away at Tremontis. He's a true underrated tallent.

People love to hate on Creed because they were so successful in the mainstream, but they're a great, great band.

When I was in highschool (maybe around 2009-2010) I done an analysis of this song for English class, but I didn’t do it for the assignment, I did it as a cry for help that maybe someone maybe even the teacher will see that I was begging, screaming for help. But I just got made fun of for it, and got a shitty grade for it because it was ‘morbid’ not because of whether I did a good job or not. The week that followed I almost succeeded in what I was praying someone would stop. That day I realised no one saves you but yourself. This song will always be close to my heart because it was with me when I was completely alone. I’m now 25 and alive, and I’m thankful for creed for helping me stay here.

This song speaks to the depression I have suffered through for years dealing with childhood abuse & later postpartum depression. I know what it's like being on that edge & just one thing can just push you off. Thankfully I received therapy to deal with my demons & can say I am living through it, but taking one day at a time. But this song encapsulates that very feeling. If you have never suffered from trauma, I don't think you can understand the full meaning of this beautiful, yet haunting song. One of my favorites from Creed.
