Creed perform their massively popular debut album "MY OWN PRISON" in it's entirety, here they drop "PITY FOR A DIME". Capture courtesy of The VegasCrackerman
My own prison is probably my favorite album written across all genre's. I'm pretty sure I wore my skip button on my discman out listening to pity for a dime over and over when I was a kid.
I've been fan of music since about age 5 in the mid 70's. And I can say with firm certainty that the music of Creed left a mark on me like no other save for maybe Pink Floyd. That's really saying something. They stand out that much through the tens of thousands of tracks and hundreds / thousands of acts over the years... Just magnificent.
If drugs/alcohol, ego and a terrible record label were non-existent in back in 1999, Human Clay and Weathered would've been as or more epic than My Own Prison. Scott would've still kept his original voice (no drugs/alcohol), Scott would've continued to write the best lyrics and done everything for the band (no ego) and they would take the amount of time needed to write the best album possible (no terrible record label). My Own Prison will always be a masterpiece
@@raze167 I definitely agree when it comes to What If, Beautiful, Say I but idk man I find myself always going to thr first one when I listen to them. But truly that could just be a preference thing on my part
@@matthewmedeiros5533 cant say the record label is terrible if they follow up my own prison with two albums that combine for over 18m record sales! but I hear you and agree, my own prison is perfection
@@samkalkstein4236 Haha yeah definitely hard to argue with the numbers. But if nothing else I'm glad that exposure and capital gave Mark and the guys the ability to continue on
