@@yannickcampuzanomorales1170 oh it was woodstock 99' a lot more than bottle throwing happened that night. Its up there for one of the most rowdiest concerts d*** heads
There's only ONE Woodstock that happened 1969. The others were MONEY STOCK. My old boss BILL GRAHAM was at WOODSTOCK. There were a number of bands that if not for Bill Graham, would never have been there. Jimi was one of them. Bill also got a brand new band booked at Woodstock that had not yet been signed.. Santana. Those who were at Woodstock, thought it was a disaster, but NOTHING compared to the MONEY STOCKS.
@@burtreynolds3231 No I didn't Shawn. Nor was I, and the great majority of the other concert participants, contributors to how this show ended. I was there ... were you (?) There was clearly a lot of friction with the vendors and "some" of the concert-goers over the cost of their wares. At least in part, this is what led to the Sunday night shenanigans by a relatively small segment of the crowd. The disastrous ending might not have happened at all if someone in the crowd had not passed out candles during the Chili Peppers set. I think this show had its fair share of issues by the promoters. poor treatment of women, poor water supplies and showers, selfish and childish concert-goers and the security employed (also a function of the promoters). Even with all that, I believe this show has gotten a bad rap over the years. But that is a topic for another thread. i guess the real question Shawn is what does any of this have to do with Robbie Krieger. 😎🎶😎
Amazing how contemporary the song sounded in 1999. I think it"s partly the organ not being there. Don't misunderstand me, I absolutely love Ray's keyboards on all the original albums, but to me that sound instantly says "Doors song". Not having the key board gives the performance a more timeless feel.
Not a link at all to Status Quo's version? They done it live since 1970 and on album in 1972, and this from 1984.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aqmXoK93_NY.htmlsi=cAPTeGhx44dsyCLf
It's a pity that Robby is without his Gibson SG. And people throw to him beer cans or smth... In stuff he was against the Doors set at Woodstock.. Shit, people. Morrison was responsible for his own, Morrison's drunken inability. Robby's forever!
It wasn't Morrison my guy. The doors all agreed not to do Woodstock because they thought it was a bad idea. They're disrespecting robbie because it's a completely different fan base and different music genre, also the fans are assholes who can't respect the band creed as a whole and what they want to do with THEIR stage time.
awesome to bring robby out....but typical modern music...... the instruments just drown out the voice.... in '71, you could HEAR Jim clearly............ overkill... sigh.
Rhythm guitar up way too loud in the mix. I know there isnt a keyboard but it would have been better to hear more of the lead guitar than the scratchy rhythm.
My own opinion, Eddie Vedder does this song better, I love Creed I have all their C.Ds but that's my own opinion ✌️ if you haven't experienced the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The Doors with Eddie Vedder, check it out. Again ✌️
