They still do and the mixing is better than ever. I've seen Cuve mix 3 tracks and a vocal sample together simultaneously. Everyone is out here acting like a 15 second youtube short demonstrates the entirety of an artists' skill. Get out, go to a show and have some fun! Even for some of the mainstream crap that actually is a prerecorded set, go enjoy the show and have fun! No different than the people who spend a ton of money to see most pop artists prance around lip syncing - we all know but it doesn't matter. Just have a good time!
Djing left the underground decades ago. The reality is that with automation, even pre-AI, djs for this type of environment have been long irrelevant. That is why so many of them are absurdly beautiful - if the skill level for entry is equally low, then of course, the selection criteria will be looks, and conversely, by the redundancy of skill looks become the fundamental importance for completing "the vibe" No uggos at my party!
You're watching shorts and the more you engage with shorts that feature this sound, the more you'll hear. You're not going to see much mixing when it's a 15 second clip of first drop in a track, after all.
How to be a DJ. 1) Wear a t-shirt/no shirt. 2) PLAY some one else's song 3) Keep turning the EQ knobs now and then 4) Keep touching the DJ table 5) wave your hands and keep jumping 6) Repeat.
that track sounds EXACTLY the same every single time i hear it. no matter who plays it.. so.. DJs don't do shit nowadays apparently and get themselves celebrated for their "incredible skill" bravo
Man, can you imagine the countless hours of practice that went into making sure the two sliders in the middle that started all the way down were still all the way down after she touched them, and the slider right next to them that started pushed up was still pushed up? Truly mind-boggling.
I think she's just enjoying the moment. My very first gig was at a student party and I was a beginner so I couldn't really do shit even though I had planned cool yet very simple effects and transitions into my mix. However there would be many instances of me just going berserk and headbanging and such while the track was playing.
Musicians back in the days: the playing real instruments for 10.000 of hours just to perfectionize them and become composers like mozard. Today western musician: press a button
people talkin shit because she presses play, but when you're at the venue nobody cares cuz it'd be fun even if the decks were empty and it was just a prerecorded youtube playlist lol
I started going to rave's & clubbing from 1989-90 so I suppose I'm old skool & since the tunes from my day are still remixed & re-released they are obviously the best but still I recognise a proper leap about like a lunatic type tune! Outf**kingstanding! 🥰
all the comments saying that all she did was press Play, when she's not the only one, the number of DJs who actually mix their set live isn't huge ... .
She looking busy on the dials but nothing changes. Alot of people do this, a man where I work is a dj part time at a strip club and he said he just plugs a USB in with remixes from RU-vid and just sits their chilling getting paid 😂 I think you can fake anything now days
