Creek fishing for TROUT in PA! I recently picked up fishing as a new hobby and im still learning how to fish. So excuse my mistakes lol. THANKS FOR WATCHING!
What part of PA? Im in Erie, lots of good trout stocked areas and creeks. From what ive caught, and im no expert, but ive had best luck with small spoons with small redworms on the hook, or power bait eggs on the hook. Also I use Thule weighted bobbers they cast great, but they are impossible to find now. They used to be at walmart and are made of foam. I bought some on amazon but they were much smaller. The ones i like are the size of a ping pong ball to help with a leader. Trout are super picky eaters, especially steelhead. I see hundreds of people in walnut creek its like a bingo game, 100 lines cast and one fish bites once an hour. Nows the time to hit up bass before the weeds grow too much if there are any ponds/lakes in your area because they are starting spawning now. Edit also invest in a good net. They sell retractable or foldable ones. Big fish will snap your line or break off once you get them to shore and attempt to kill themselves on sharp rocks so the net protects them and you.
I’m around central PA. Tons of creeks, ponds, and lakes around me. I’ve been mostly using spinners and spoons but i want to try to use power bait and trout magnets. I haven’t been fishing for Bass but I have friends who are catching them like crazy right now. Also yeah a net is going to be the next thing I buy. Thanks for the comment 👍
