Hey I think Lyle Stokes loves drum. I’ve never tried it but I wouldn’t be against it. Great video Chris.

Rumor has it you can boil the meat and it tastes like crab once cooked. I'm told you can make a "crab" roll with it and it will taste identical. Next drum I catch I keep. I thought they were unsafe to eat. But you seem alive. So it's worth the try.

@FishingWithChris_Tv 2 месяца назад
@@onifreperez6208 everything is “unsafe” to eat if you ask people paranoid about the signs posted near fishing areas because of contaminates in the water. Fact is, the big fish are the ones you don’t want to keep, they have been in them longer and have more of that crap in them. Smaller, eater size fish are the opposite, less time in it, therefore less of that crap in them. Either way, there are people that have ate fish out of rivers with these signs for decades and they are fine.

Hey Chris hope you're having a great day. Got a question for you do you think 10 to 15 lb braid is small enough to where you will not need a leader?
@FishingWithChris_Tv
@FishingWithChris_Tv 2 месяца назад
@@unf8able01 lighter braid always needs a leader. It’s much more vulnerable to abrasions than heavier braids.
@unf8able01
@unf8able01 2 месяца назад
@@FishingWithChris_Tv would I use a 3lb leader on 10lb braid and 4llb on 15lb braid?
@FishingWithChris_Tv
@FishingWithChris_Tv 2 месяца назад
@@unf8able01 that’s too light. Personally with 10lb braid I never go lower than 6lb, usually what I’ll use is 8 but 6-10lb is all I use for 10 depending on the situation. With 15lb, I don’t go below 8 but more often than not use 10-12lb depending on the situation. Using too light of a leader material increases the chance of your connection knot slipping, using too heavy of a leader line hurts your castability.

I love catching gar, I only been able to land one. The worm cooler, does the ice pack freeze them?

@@Angiefishing1 I haven’t had the worms freeze yet but it definitely keeps them much much cooler and happier on these hot days lol
