There are resources available online for learning the Muscogee language. Seminoles speak Muscogee, and some speak Mikasuki/Miccosukee. If it’s Muscogee you want, look up Becky Barnett. She teaches online classes in CST.

I believe this is a cousin of mine through my dad's family. One of my FB friends (cousin) has a picture of the man listed as their family member. Native folks have many family branches through cousins.
Interesting.. while doing research, i learned my great grandmother is on the Native American Registry ( "so called " 5 civilized tribe) in The Albany-sylvester, Georgia area. I dont have any pictures of her, only her caucasian, husband born in 1885, and my grandfather and her death certificate. My grandfather had brown skin with straight hair, but semi-full features., like his caucasian dad, who was married to my great grandmother..So unlike way too many African Americans, it was not rape.

Well, the songs are traditionally sung at ceremonies. They can be sung throughout the year as practice amongst tribal members. They aren’t supposed to be recorded either. However, elders sometimes have themselves recorded when they feel that their songs will be lost for the next generation. I have a recording of my grandfather singing. I made copies and gave them to my family.

We all have originated from our homelands where we were once native of.... But to be American Indian by blood is more than just to be able to claim it with words or to take a family members word that grandma or grandpa was part Cherokee or Blackfoot. For one if you have even 1/16th blood in the veins it would be documented and you would have a roll number and CDIB card. Which stands for Certain Degree of Indian Blood.... if you have no roll number and CDIB card I'm sorry for the disappointment, but the blood isn't their.. Now to be even native of something you must participate IN social events, dance, language, traditional song and teachings and religious beliefs of said native culture around the world.... Even if one is full blood native American and yet does not take part in the RED ROAD is to defy that blood in your veins... This is also what was part of the mental genocide of past... I descend from muscogee Creek Nation right now I sit with my grandfather as he is getting ready to pass and hopefully our ancestors will bring him home to be with other people. He just turned 81.
