As far as undercarriage parts supply, I use truck or track. I am a little biased I have to be honest I haven’t shopped around a whole lot other than Con equip.
Well, don't be stingy, share it with everyone you know! 😁🤣😂 Thanks I appreciate that and I sure enjoyed studying for this message and especially speaking it. It is a message that can definitely have an eternal impact in someone's life. God Bless
Hi Sam..I just noticed my comment didn’t show up that I posted this Morning..So here we go again, Lol. That looks really nice after you put the slick on it , Bonus finding the hydraulic oil .! Eating some of Momma’s cooking is a Awesome Payment in my book 😄 I appreciate the Message My Friend.! Stay Safe and Take Care !!
@@tristardiggin Never driven a dozer but I've always wanted to! Yeah we got 2" of rain Sunday and another 1/2" today! All my equipment is covered in mud LOL!
Need one of those on an excavator for trimming fence lines with over hanging limbs, also be good around steep pond banks when you can't get to close. The mulcher may work pretty well on small over hanging limbs but I think it would be a bit slower. I usually hand trim limbs with pole saw and then mulch up with brush cutter on tractor. Funny thing is my pole saw gets tired quickly 😂 they make some attachments for tractor loaders but it can be a little difficult to get positioned correctly without scratching up your tractor from other limbs etc...
A mower attachment would be great for that. Idigit4 has one and uses it occasionally. The mulcher would definitely be slower at it. Funny thing is my tool that require labor gets tired quick too. Some of them just out right refuse to work. I've seen the mowers that side mount on a tractor loader and seem to work good but getting in right angle was a challenge for them...
That was a bit "hairy" Sam. I thought we were going to have a leisurely stroll along a creek. That was really steep and I`m doing my usual " hanging on with my eyelashes" trick A pretty property, I bet it looks lovely when the trees are in leaf and the grass is green. We don`t get change of season here in Queensland, where I`m living at the moment. Everything just keeps on growing. We call brush cutters, "slashers" here. Nice Message. You remind me of my Grannie ( and I don`t mean you look like an old lady). She gave me a bible when I was about 10, and when she asked me if I was reading it , I said Icouldn`t understand it. From that day on every time I visited, or she came to our house she would sit me down on her armchair read passages and explain them to me. Hearing you do this for us was so familiar to me. thank you.
Have to be hanging off the side of a hill to keep it interesting. It is a nice property in the spring for sure. Well, I've never been compared to a Grannie, lol! Sounds like a good Grannie who loved the Lord and wanted to share Him with you. It is my desire to share the Bible in an understandable way. So, thanks you for that and God Bless...
Thank you Sam for another real good video and message. I've been watching your videos they have all been good. Just haven't made too many comments. Spent a few days in the hospital, I swelled up pretty good. Fluid retention. Lost nearly 40lbs of fluid in those 3 days and another almost 15 in a couple weeks at home. I truly felt like a water balloon. Lol. I'm not a little person anyway. But I had no idea skin could stretch that much. It was mostly in my legs. Then when my arm doubled overnight, I decided I better go get checked. (I'm a little stubborn about going to doctors). Chemo has made it hard to keep food down. Now I have to go in when my wife gets off work here soon, cuz my port site has become infected. I'm kinda getting bummed with all these things going on.i don't mean to sound like a debbie downer. Lol So I look forward to your videos and message at the end. Keep up the good work and the good fight. Blessings Sam Ed from Chicago. 🙂
Ed, sorry to hear you're having such a rough time. I'm praying things will start turning around for you. I appreciate you watching and thankful the messages are a blessing to you! God Bless...
That cuts awesome! We just picked up a 72" rut terminator excited to get it to work I had rented a BR 172 from CAT just to try it cut the fields nice but didn't leave behind a great product in any sizable brush
I had a br172 brush cutter on a 299c. It was good only you to 4” thick stuff. I bought a 72” terminator XP high flow for my T76 and it has been a game changer. Getting the rut disc mulcher next
What would you charge for a job like this? Just trying to get an idea because I’m interested in getting into this. Seen you recommended starting small with like you did with the cat259d and 72 inch brush cutter. And are you glad you went with track over wheels?
Thanks Johnny! I generally have a $600 minimum on jobs like this which would basically be changing for a half day. This job was close by so I would do a half day on it. But if it was a good distance away I would have charged a 1 day minimum of $1200. Hope that helps and wish you well on your start up…
Just going back a d watching videos from before I knew about your channel and heard you ask about where to buy equipment parts. Ive had good luck with ConEquip. I found them on Facebook and called them up. Prices were cheaper than my Bobcat dealer, I got an OEM part (center swivel for my excavator), quick shipping, and probably the best customer service I've ever gotten when dealing with equipment parts. They called me a week or so after i got the part to make sure it fit, worked, and I was happy. I couldn't believe it, ive never had anyone do that before. I know its too late now for what you were needing this time, but if you ever need parts again, give them a call.
Great video!! Very satisfying. Does the brush hog steal a lot of your tracking and turning power? I see you’re about to be doing an undercarriage. I made a set of track bars Friday night. I’m a one man show too and throwing a track can be tough. So I made these track bars to be able to put tracks back on quick and easy by myself. Thought about making a video of making them but some company makes them and sells them so I didn’t wanna be that guy. But check em out if you don’t know what they are. Pretty awesome way to remove and install tracks. Great message today. Thanks for another great video.
Doesn't really rob any power unless you are cutting thick stuff and bogs mower down. It does a great job in this type material. I'm very interested in the track bars. Haven't heard of those. Thanks and appreciate your comment on the message. Do I just Google track bars?
@@tristardiggin search “track bar systems” on RU-vid. Will have a cat skid with red bars and a guy changing tracks or putting them back on. Lemme know what you think. I posted mine on fb and the local equipment rental seen them. He was blown away they been doing it the hard way for years and years. He wants some too. They are 600 bucks or so. I couldn’t make myself swing that for a set but I had pipe and square stock so welded up my own.
@@tristardiggin it was fun. I was out from 12-3am fighting my generator. Rope broke and pull start quit rewinding, had to wrap around the flywheel and pull that way 100 times it seems like. This has been the 3rd Monday this week lol
Hey buddy as good of a welder as you are, you could just weld some meat back on those sprockets and get another 3k hours on those teeth!! 🤓🤣🤣 sorry I couldn't resist...
