I went to school and college with a guy who would claim that he was being haunted by several different spirits. He basically claimed that he would always see shadows moving around him, but nothing would be there when he looked in that direction, or turned around. Or he would see something move in the corner of his eye, but nothing was there when he focused his attention in that direction. He came across pretty genuine and serious though, acting very anxious and creeped out by it all, so we all thought that he was just crazy and having psychological issues, as opposed to him outright bullshitting. But then as the weeks went on, several people that had hung out with him also claimed to have experienced weird things and creepy shadows when with him. One of our mutual friends was walking home with him one night and said he saw two large shadows following them down an alley, as well as hearing goat noises. But he couldn't see anything when he looked around. It was only when he wasn't paying attention that he would see the shadows moving in the corner of his eye. Which is the same thing that the supposed haunted guy claimed. It actually got to the stage where people stopped hanging around with him and were creeped out by him. Well, I didn't speak to him for about 3 months. Whether the supposed haunting continued during this time, I don't know. But the guy, who was only 19, was suddenly killed in a car crash on a motorway at 1am in 2012. Turned out that he had spun off the road suddenly and police said he probably fell asleep at the wheel and had leant on the steering wheel or something. But a lot of people that I know are convinced that a spirit or ghost spun his car off the motorway. I didn't want to believe any of that shit, but about a week after his death his ex girlfriend started claiming on Facebook that he had been using Ouija boards in his bedroom alone and that he tried to get her to do it. But they broke up about a year before his death. I don't know whether to believe any of this, but its so horrifying that I won't touch an Ouija board or do a seance if you paid me. Fuck that shit.

20:34 a very important tip if you ever wake up with sleep paralysis. Dont. Open. Your. Eyes. Whatever you do. It will pass but its always better to go through it without opening your eyes if you can. Its a piece of advice Ive always remembered.
@@ws6963 Most times when people wake up, they'll move to stretch and find their body wont move. Of course this doesnt always happen, but when it does it can be scary. I've had people say that when you open your eyes you're very likely to see something over you. So its best to keep them closed if you can and remembering it will pass, while trying to relax and focus on moving. Easier said then done, I'm sure though. I hope that helps!
once i was with my dad (who’s called jeff) and my dad’s girlfriend’s nephew (jacob). jacob was born without eyes and at the time he was about 7 years old. we were sat in the living room and he turned to my dad and said “jeff, why’s it not dark anymore?” and we questioned him and he just stayed silent. we haven’t mentioned it since.
When I was about 16 my parents went away on holiday and left me home alone for two weeks. One day I was sat downstairs watching TV and heard what I thought to be my mums voice call my name from upstairs, clear as anything. It creeped me out but I didn't think much of it and carried on with my day. As time passed I kinda forgot about it. When I was around 22 my mum came to visit me, and we were out having drinks. We got onto creepy stories and she told me that once she was home alone and heard my brother call her name from upstairs, she thought this was strange as he used her name and not mum, and he had moved out a few months prior. Could all be tricks of the mind, but creeped me out no end to have heard my mum say the same story.
Just to make the story about the boy with no eyes a little more believable: they’re all saying a child talking at 2 is unrealistic but my niece has talked fairly well since about 1 1/2. She’s three now and she has a better vocabulary than most kids much older. It’s probably not usual but it’s possible.
SydneyMichelle94 yeah it is. I could speak 1 language by the age of 1.5 & 2 languages by the age of 3. However there are other kids aged 3-4 that can’t speak a word
Frosty Phasing probably yeah I’m not entirely sure, but I probably wasn’t a ‘fluent’ speaker, in that I didn’t have a very varied vocabulary, particularly in the 2nd language
My premature born 3 year old was speaking in sentences at 2. Now my other full term child didn't speak well at all til he was a little over 3. Kids all do things at different ages! So yeah that part didn't throw me off at all, it's not too unusual for a 2yr old to talk fairly well.
Just an idea, you should take submissions from comments etc for ghost stories - I'm sure there is plenty, could make an interesting episode and can't wait to see more anyway!

I suffer from regular sleep paralysis and it is terrifying. Your brain becomes so aware and conscious of your surroundings that slight changes in light become so visible and shadows just move across in the corner of your eyes.
Next topic you do in these types of creepy podcasts should definitely be the Butterfly effect Watched a vid about it today and would love to see you two react to the DeltaP butterfly effect. You should do a podcast reading through some fucked up experiences people have had with sleep paralysis. I spent hours on Reddit and theres some pretty weird stuff on there.
That last one was definitely fake, good but fake. It was too well written apart from the glaring hole of him being the only living relative of his Grandma yet his Mother is still alive. Not to mention how cliché that ending was with him russling his Grandson’s hair like his Grandma did to him when he was young. Also him having his own children and then them being old enough to have a child themselves means that this guy would be fairly old, and I can’t imagine an elderly man taking to the internet to document a story like this.
I've had dreams before where I would wake up in the middle of the night and see a spider right in front of me or bugs just crawling on the bed. And I always feel like I'm completely awake, actually seeing this! So I'd jump up, turn on the lights and realize that nothing's there. And then need a couple of minutes to calm down... so creepy 😖
Well. When i was younger i always had the same thing. Either a tarantula on the wall crawling towards me or bugs crawling towards me. They insects where usually on the ceiling and would basically eject from the corner of the ceiling like someone opened a gap for then to all run in. I could never shut my eyes or move during this. I dont know if it was dreaming or sleep paralysis but i hated it. I also had a dream where i turned with my eyes open in the middle of the night and there was a black figure hanging from the ceiling. I think my mind made that as i used to be terrified of a movie which did include some people hanging

When you guys were describing a black figure over him I broke out in chills because when I was 15 or so at my parents house, I used to stay up all night and make frequent night kitchen trips. Our kitchen was long but narrow, and near the halfway mark on the way back I froze, and everything around me got darker and darker. I felt something rise up behind me, leaning over me and stretching all the way up to the ceiling. I crouched over and screamed for my parents and it slowly dissipated. I swear this is true - I hadn't just woken up, I wasn't tired yet. Not gonna say it 100% just in my head, but the feeling was so real and thick and I'm still terrified tbh
ive had sleep paralysis twice, the first time it felt like someone was lying on top of me and i was sinking into my bed. and the second time i was in my dorm at uni and i was lying facing the wall and woke up to the grudge noise getting closer to my ear and then saying "youuuu" It was scary as fuck but i was kind of relaxed cos i knew it was just sleep paralysis and it was kind of exciting as well haha
Sleep on your front or side/front all the time. Ive never intentionally slept on my back as i was either scared of spiders in my mouth or sleep paralysis. Ive never had sleep paralysis and with my epic tactic, i hopefully never will
I've got to be honest I never used to like Jack at all and now he's my favourite youtuber. I genuinely look forward to all his videos and think he's a proper top bloke. If you do ever see this Jack sorry for misjudging you as you're a legend.
I've suffered with sleep paralysis for about 20 years. I've never really seen anything scary, rather, I start to panic that my breathing is going to be restricted. They tell you if you just relax into it, it'll fade more quickly... It's hard to relax when you're convinced you're gonna get so paralysed you won't be able to breathe.
I think when they said they told their mum they meant they told her the day after the incident with the lamp, not years later after the grandma's death. 💜
I’ve had the same sleep paralysis experience around 3 times, to the point where I’m having a nightmare mixed with screaming out for help. It’s terrifying.
When I was about 8 or 9 I saw a junkie climbing out of a grid, I absolutely shat my self and ran away, after that I had nightmares about him sitting in in my living room
Ive got a story not really a ghost one but still very creepy Im 18 atm and not really a ladies man by any standards but, when i was about 16 i was at party with a girl that i was kind of seeing at the time and i was also very good friends with the 2 sister who was throwing the party The girl i was seeing said she didnt feel well so i asked if we could go upstairs (we had already asked if we could stay the night because we both lived far) we both went up into one of the sisters rooms and both fell asleep almost straight away In this sisters room she had a pretty big wardrobe (closet) And at about 3:00am i wake up and the girl isnt next to me anymore i sit up to only see one of the sisters passed out at my feet and could hear muffled crying coming from the wardrobe So i wake up the sister and ask her wtf is in there and go see what it is When she opened the door the girl i had fell asleep with was in there facing the wall crying. I was instantly freaked out so bad i didnt even know what to say The sister walked over to the girl who she knew and was close with and tried to see why she was crying and why she was facing the wall As soon as the sister touched her she jumped like she had been electrocuted The sister asked and i asked if the girl was okay and she just looked round at me and said “yeah im fine, why what happened” I tried to brush it off and go back to sleep but couldn’t so after the 2 girls fell back asleep i got the fuck out that house at 4:00am and hour and half away from home and wasn’t even mad 🤣 Tdr: i was in bed with a girl after a party and when i woke up she was crying in the wardrobe
I was watching this in bed, and I fell asleep whilst i was still watching and obviously the video continued playing whilst I was sleeping. I woke up to the feeling of someone tapping my shoulder.... I live alone. I’m sure it’s probably my mind playing tricks on me after listening to this but I was like ‘bitch nah’ so I drove to my mums at 2.30am to stay over at hers😂 even got her dog to sleep on my bed
Stevie , there was people who didn't die of the black death because they were naturally immune , some by being exposed a little bit at the time , like the flu or other virus ,some people don't catch them .
Hearing the ambulance one made me have chills. I don't believe in ghosts and shit in retrospect, but when i hear stories I try and get into the head space as if I was there, ya know?
Omg the door story reminded me of once I woke up at about 3am to the sound of my sister stood in her door saying “can I sleep with you” over and over again but I jumped out my skin then said yes but when she walked to my bed , she walked to my bedroom door and fell asleep
Omg I've never had sleep paralysis before but I was watching this with my eyes closed drifting in and out of sleep, I heard the story about sleep paralysis then fell asleep. I woke up to the bit about the girl with the throat that spiralled and she had black eyes and how they weren't gonna tell their grandchildren and was listening to it for a bit with my eyes still closed. As i went to get up I literally couldn't lift my head off the pillow or move my arms or anything and I was trying so hard to lift up butI couldn't, and yet I could hear the podcast so clearly still. It only lasted like 20 secs but was so weird. I finally managed to move and gasped for air. Is that even a thing that can cause it or is that just a coincidence or was I just dreaming I couldn't move? I don't get how it couldn't be real though cause I could hear the podcast so well still...
So many ‘ghosts’ are just ‘echo’s’ of the person. So I think Steve is right when he said at in the first one that they’re stuck in a loop. Explains why people usually see them in the same spot at the same times etc etc. doesn’t make it any less creepy though!
I’ve only had one spooky encounter, I shit you not this is 110% true. When I was little around 2/3, me and my family used to live in an old house and my mam and dad says that I used to look up the stairs of the house and at my nanas house and say that there is a man wearing a black suit with no face, obviously I was too young to remember any of this. This could realistically go down as a little kid making up a story however this is the bit that really fucks me up, a couple years passed and I was around 8/9 and my brother was around 3/4, at this time we still lived in the same house and me and my brother both shared the same room and we had a bunk bed, it was the middle of the night and my brother woke everyone up crying and was saying that there was a tall man in a suit looking over me, just peering over not moving just staring down on me, I was still too young to full remember this, however I can vividly remember it so I know my parents aren’t bullshitting. Hearing the story jack was saying about his mate reminded me of this and it scares me to my core.
When I was younger I saw a ghost. I woke up one morning and I was young so I went into my mum and dads room and there was a girl crying in the corner but the girl was inbetween the door when it was open and a desk drawer so I closed the door and asked her why she was crying she didn’t reply so I walked over to the bed and tried to wake my mum up she told me to go back to bed I asked her who the girl in the corner was she said what girl and I pointed my mum didn’t see her and I looked and she was gone my mum told me to go back to bed I went back to the door she was back then I asked her if she wanted a drink and she didn’t replay again so I went down stairs got her a glass of water and as I went to go up stairs I saw the front door was open and I shut it I continued to go back upstairs and try to find the girl she was gone and my mum and dad where getting dressed they asked me why I had water cause I didn’t like it cause I was young I told them and my mum had the same “dream” but we couldn’t have dreamt the same thing surely ?
Very late but I'm a history student and a discovery was made that some people had a mutated gene that made them immune to the plague. There's a historical record of a mother who lost her husband and I believe her 3 children to the plague- she cared for them all in sickness but never caught it herself. It is possible that the young girl did live in the plague-riddled house and didn't catch it herself
I love this podcast, am I the only American listener tho? Who cares. I can go back to any episode and listen/watch it, and it never feels old or stale. People can learn alot from this podcast. I do miss Alex, but it's cool when he makes guest appearances. Dudey is great, Stevie White-White-White is great and Jaack is always highly entertaining. I love Robbie Knox, BVM, Sidemen, Fiona and most of the other guests but my favorites are Laurence and Brian aka True Geordie aka King of The North aka did I mention I was a deep sea diver mate?!?! Happy Hour is a great podcast, and I'll be watching/listening until the wheels fall off. Keep up the great work gentleman!!!
