These little guys are a type of mollusk called a chiton! I’ve seen comments calling them gumboots which is a species of chiton, but not what these guys are. Gumboots have a soft outside that is a red brick color while these guys have a hard outer shell! Chitons are a common tide pool dweller and stick to the walls similar to snails. As shown in the video they have a hard shell that protects a soft squishy inside. They are super cute and very pretty, it’s crazy seeing them in such massive numbers! When polished they have super pretty shells with a rainbow of color varieties! Truly a cool find, thanks for the video!
All these people overreacting. Taking limpets of the rocks does NOT hurt them! I use them as fishing bait all the time and the leftover ones I put back happily settle back down.
Here in Philippines those are safe to eat! First boil them till there shells get softer 2nd u remove there soft shells 3rd cook it with vegetables any kind and put spices to make it yummy and chewy
Nothing creepy at all. But i love your curiousity. And very nice quality footage. What camera did you use? Oh and i hope you just ignore much of comments here. I love animals, but my god these people really are exaggerating. They're molluscs for fck's sake, they will not die just because we take them and put them in different position, otherwise they will not become THAT many!
Hãris حارس I don't think it is in the mulusk family. I could be wrong though . Do you know what type of sea creature it is? If so, please let me know. I want to see if it's edible for people.
David Helfrich -- Hey I'm from NJ too! And I must agree, things are boring. Nothing like south Florida. That's the only place I've been to compare beaches.
Aqua_aquors hahaha lol I actually want to spend some money on eBay to buy Tide Pods but since I’m from Singapore, the product plus shipping cost $63SGD(Singapore Dollars) gee that’s expensive
This reminds me of growing up in the Caribbean..the snail we call Wilkes and the one is long back, all good eating. Long back is more rubbery Wilkes soft n tender.
dont tell me u guys dont know what those creature are fisherman use it sometimes to fish i use to fish i live in curacao btw and we find them all the time
The Homeless Rainbow they are like leeches but they are a little bigger and you always find them on a rock always on a rock like they're home is a rock they dont hurt you or bite you they are very hard to pull from the rock
