This Creo Simulate tutorial video explains how to create Constraints as part of setting up a model for structural analysis. The types of constraints shown include Displacement, Planar, and Pin. It also shows how to create a cylindrical coordinate system for use in defining constraints.

Sir how to give remote displacment or moment during constraint setting?

At around 12:00 you model a bolt/fastener constraint by applying a displacement constraint to a surface region. I am having issues where modeling bolt/fastener constraints like this causes a singularity. When the model is loaded, the displacement constraint seems to act almost like an edge load at the perimeter/dia. of the fastener constraint. I think in reality this can be explained because the material around the fastener does not become infinitely stiff, so there wouldn't be nearly as much stress concentration as Creo simulate calculates at these constraints. Also if there was a stress concentration there, yielding would be local. But having the stress concentration show up there at the constraint, like a singularity, throws the results of the simulation off. Even if you mark those elements for exclusion with a mesh control, Creo will still tag that as being the maximum stress in the model. Is there a similar way to constrain a model at fastener holes that avoids unrealistic stress concentrations/singularities in Creo 6.0? Thanks, Steve

its really helpful if you can provide the part file of design . we understand your teaching like never before but we dont have part to practice on it .
