Great idea I would use cardboard and not paper, if I was using a paper template I would use double sided tape and stick it onto the piece of wood. Agree that a ply template would be good
Nice design Ben. I like to see my pen on display so must make one, think I'd try to use a snail countersink for the indentation for the nib rather than a drill bit if there's enough room for the drill. Agree with you, what is it with this rubbing your finish (or glue) in with your fingers, do these guys like everything they touch or eat for the next two weeks to smell of Linseed oil?
Hi there, you can follow our step by step guide here www.axminstertools.com/ideas-advice/how-to-make-a-crescent-pen-holder/ there are no precise measurements - we used a tin of finishing wax and roll of tape to draw around.
Internal dimension approx. 2/3 of the ballpoint pen length works quite well. How wide the ring should be depends somewhat on how thick the ballpoint pen is. The proportions should be right.
