Walking the magnificent Northumberland Coastal Path from Cresswell to Berwick-upon-Tweed. This is episode 1 of 6. Produced in partnership with the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and Northumberland Coast Path.
Overview.
The Northumberland coast offers some of the finest coastal walking in Europe. The Northumberland Coast Path follows this stunningly beautiful coastline for 100 kilometres (62 Miles) from Cresswell in the south to Berwick-upon-Tweed in the north. Alongside sandy beaches, over rocky headlands, past dramatic castles and through attractive coastal villages, the Northumberland Coast Path offers a constantly changing landscape which is a pleasure to explore.

I was brought up in Ellington. I'm pretty sure Iain Robson lived at Ellington Village shop that his Mam n Dad ran for years. I'm going to do this walk soon. Thanks

Never done an official coastal route before and have to say, this looks superb. Our favourite coast day walk is from Craster to Low Newton by the Sea, I will will be looking at section hiking this next year, cheers Alan

The coastal path carries on from Creswell another 5 miles or so to Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, I'm not sure why it's not included officially
