The crew could have gotten drunk, and still returned by midnight, so the captain saying does he want a crew hungover fishing in the Bering Sea, well captain, don’t let the crew go to town and get drunk…irresponsible of him to let them go, and a bad example to Bob

I would have pulled a Jake. When the captain tells you to be back at 12, you are back at 12 period. End of story. You let them disrespect you once it will happen again.

Throw Them Off! Jake did the same thing when his crew showed up to work drunk. You don't go drinking because if you show up on a boat intoxicated you are violating the captains standing orders and you can get marooned. Never Board A Boat Drunk! its illegal.

Not really the same situation, he told them they could go drinking. He actually says the phrase "Dont be too hung over" and " Nobody go driving". They obviously took it too far, but he knew full well they were going straight to the bar.
