I love our Z9 -- it consistently makes incredible lattes and cappuccinos. Coffee strength and milk amount can be adjusted via its built in computer. If you can afford it and have the counter space, it is a no-brainer.

Hello Gail, Good review on the Jura Z9 but could be better if you had mentioned the following points. When the Z9 is dispensing any drink, turning the rotary dial allows you to alter the volume of the drink. Therefore, the settings for the drinks are not permanent :) , Its never too late to change your drink volume with a Jura. And also, pressing the rotary dial before you make any drink will bring up the ala carte, enabling you to customize that one cup of drink. The Z9 uses the newer aroma+ grinder that grinds real fast and quiet, its a stainless steel conical burr, not ceramic burr. And it is a double thermoblock system! To adamgreen22 : All superautomatics (As far as I know) use thermoplastics for their brewer unit and silicon tubing with wired mesh that are 1)inert, 2) have melting point at temperature way above espresso brewing temperature. And the machines will not produce "boiling water", just hot water at 92 deg. In my opinion, there isnt any health hazard associated with super autos. Nespresso capsules on the other hand.....aluminium and alzheimer's link, just go google. Cheers.

Thanks for the input. I think after we recorded the video we recognized that we missed that feature. - Steven

This is so similar in style to the Jura J9 it would have been helpful to talk about how they compare and pros and cons of each. This looks a bit more heavy duty, but the Jura J9 looks more visually attractive to me.

Alright, so far I've been worried she was going to make me fall into sleep-mode (I tend to nod on some videos). As the video picks up she utters the word fan-tab-u-lous, considerable with a ticket of $3,500! This keeps me perked and tuned in for what excitement may be. It seems to be a sturdy piece of work. Reminiscent of Portland, Oregon coffee houses. With various adjustments it is sure to satisfy your consistency of froth &/or foam. It would be love to pour a round

Hi Guys great review...I was under the impression the milk expresser cleaned itself with a shot of steam in reverse or is that another machine? Keep up the great reviews.

Hi Dancin Queen, the Z9 prompts you to rinse the milk frother after each milk based drink. However, this rinse does not fully rinse the tube that the milk travels through, so it is best to manually rinse the tube after each use. - Sarah

Whats difference between Z9 and XJ9? I am confused which one to buy? I read some reviews on other Jura products which says that it doesn't make the milk hot but just warm...

Hi Lebss Masterss! The Z9 is intended for home use, while the XJ9 is suitable for small offices. Most super automatic espresso machines do not offer a way to adjust the milk temperature, so many times the milk is considered warm and not delightfully hot. However, the addition of hot espresso (for a latte of cappuccino) helps increase the overall drink temperature. If you would like the ability to control milk temperature on a super automatic, I would suggest the Breville Oracle: www.seattlecoffeegear.com/breville-oracle-espresso-machine-bes980xl. The Oracle offers the convenience of a super automatic, coupled with the ability to manually steam (and heat milk!) with the steam wand. - Sarah

i never use any cleaning product for the milk pipe, i only use warm water right after my drinks, i do one milk shot but water instead then the milk rinse, still with water.

Here is some feedback from me if you consider to buy this pros ------- - amazing coffee, you can really get drinks that you buy in top bars - you can really make anything even if its not included, with milk and hot water as option - almost no noise - watertank cons -------- cleaning milk pipes(we are supposed to do this every day, not so automatic huh! :) and you need their special cleaner for this!? i imagine they will make alot of money if i do this over years so if anyone has alternative if its ok to clean with something else let me know milk tank will make your milk spoiled pretty fast if you forget about it(and dont replace milk each day) and if its summer(i am not sure if this is problem as the tank supposedly should keep it cold) You can solve this problem by simply keeping the larger tube attached in the milk box bought from the store and just put it in fridge then pull it out when needed without using already given milk tank. price, but hey you get top drinks in almost no time at all!

Hello. Regarding the Jura Impressa Z9 coffee maker. I have a question. Would someone be kind enough to tell me how tall the coffee bean door when it is open? Said another way, how tall is the unit with the coffee bean door open? I have only 18-inches between the countertop and the bottom of the top cabinets. Will I be able to fill this unit with coffee beans with the door wide open? Thank you all in advance. Ron

It is 19 and 1/2 with the lid open. It looks like it will not fit. Sorry! - Steven

Thank you Steven, we'll look around at other models and/or products. In the end, we may purchase this Jura as we're only looking at a 1/2 inch. Thanks again, Ron

+Ronald Leonhardt We also have 18" clearance and it works to slide the Jura forwards when you need to fill it. There is enough steam that we slide the machine forward when in use to avoid damaging the cabinetry anyways.

With a height of 14.6 inches and a weight of 32 pounds sliding it out from under cabinets to use is bogus. What is the story with this problem? You really need a location with more clearance; i.e. not under a cabinet? And then it sticks out 17 inches; your counter is only 24 deep. This explains why all of the reviews show it sitting on islands. It may be a wonderful device, and by all accounts it is, but think hard about where to place it before you get it home.

Dumb demo guys! You might have run through the demo before filming. Too many mistakes.......You may have discouraged me from Seattle Coffee Gear.
