Really useful - if owners took a few minutes to watch and learn (people like me) then you've got a really good system on the AT with huge functionality
If you already have for example a sena system used on another motorcycle it’s important that you carry out a factory reset to delete all information or the bike will ‘default’ to passenger connection and you will not be able to use Apple play
was your question ever answered? thinking about buying this bike and wondered same .....worried about phone mount and vibration destroying i phone camera
@@ANONYMOUSBIKERUSA Confirmed there is no set place for the phone. I bought a Quad Mount with anti-vibration dampener and have been fine, and in rain I just put it in my tank bag - there’s really no need to see the phone since I can see the AT’s screen and control it through the handlebar.
Hi, thanks for this video. Just a question, which usb cable I need to buy to connect my Galaxy Note 10 Plus to the bike? Is there a particular cable? My phone has a Type C port.
@@Geordiebiketester can a generic shop bought cable work, or does it have to be the cable that comes with the phone? I ask as I have an old Samsung s5 and just have a charging cable I got from a fuel station!
When I connect my Intercom EJEAS V6PRO a la AT the Intercom automatically turns off, could someone tell me what I am doing wrong? I have previously verified that the Bluetooth is compatible with the system that incorporates the Africa Twin.
Had the same thing with a Wing. My phone was connecting to other stuff which caused a lot of cross over. Check your headset is only set to the Twin and not connecting to your phone via Bluetooth.
@@Geordiebiketester thanks alot for that information....my dad just bought the new africa twin and he ask me does it need cable to use the car play?.....by the way...thank you
Sorry for the stupid question, but why does the iPhone have to be physically connected if Bluetooth has been activated? And while I’m asking, once connected, can you control the GPS using the headset?
Carplay "mirror" the screen from you phone to the bike. I would image bluetooth bandwidth is way too low to accomplish wireless data transfer for the screen.
@@UncleWally3 By doing some quick googling I can see you can get wireless Applecar play, abeit the support is rare or you have to buy some aftermarket adapter/dongle for it. A quote from one article I found "Fortunately, a small but growing number of cars now support wireless CarPlay, which was first introduced in iOS 9, and uses a combination of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to keep your iPhone connected to your ride." Other article mentions that wireless receivers are costly so this might be choice from Honda to keep overall cost down. I know its pretty shitty you have to use cable everytime, but for long distance touring you would plug your phone in for charging anyway so its only inconvenience for short rides, commuting, etc.. For my crf1100 I will prob route permanent cable to leave it on the bike.
My apple car play refuses to work on my 2022 africa twin. I dont have an “original” cable. But its charging the phone. I cant imagine apple has a special extra “car play” wire in their charge cords as opposed to others. Honda do better. Chevy has wireless car play. I expected better from Honda. Very dissatisfied. Should have got a KTM
Just checking you have done it correct? Bluetooth headset pair with the Twin. Plug iPhone in on its lead. The iPhone has no Bluetooth connectivity to the headset or the bike? It’s that simple. Headset to bike phone to bike nothing else.
