South along the West Highland Way, from the village to Crianlarich to Loch Lomond, crossing by ferry to Ardlui. Then, by CityLink coach back to Crianlarich - for dinner and a pint.
It's important to check the ferry times to get you across to Ardlui, and recommended to prebook on CityLink, as sometimes the coaches are full. The driver knew he had two people to pick up from the Ardlui hotel, and the service was pretty well on time.
Ardlui is about 1,000 feet lower than Crianlarich, so overall, walking south it's downhill all the way. That said, there is a climb up out of Crianlarich village to the West Highland Way at the beginning, and then some ups and downs on the route. Most walkers you meet will be heading north.
