Sobers is the very first batsman in the world to scored over 8,032 runs in 93 test matches. I have seeing Sobers batting for about 12 years from 961 , I am talking .When I realized what is cricket and I have seeing Viv Richard's batting from 1971 in the domestic competition also, 1974 in test cricket and. Watching the two men batting I would say Sobers is a far better batsman than Viv Richard's without a doubt. I know that you are going to hear all these cyber bullies talking a lot of trash, but the truth always hurts the biased people them, ok

I don't know where this guy is from talking a lot of trash, he needs to go and sit down. He is too young to know the intricacies about the wi cricket, because there several wi batsmen scored back to back test hundreds. Lot before Viv Richard's even Sobers was born, so he has no idea of what he is talking about. George Headley is the first batsman for the wi team to scored hundreds in both innings in 1930 in Guyana 🇬🇾 against England ,so what this guy is saying, it is all nonsense. If you don't know what you are talking about, he should shut his mouth. Because Lawrence Rowe is the only batsman in the entire world, that scored a double hundreds and a hundred on his debut against New Zealand in 1972 at Sabina Park Kingston Jamaica 🇯🇲. Long before Viv Richard's enter the test arena, I watched Lawrence Rowe innings from start to finish. Viv Richard's only started to played test cricket in 1974 and when he joined the team, Rowe and Alvin Kalicharran was way ahead of Viv Richard's in terms of batting. The wi management dropped both of them from the team, in order to bring in their family In the wi team. I know that you have some cyber bullies out there who always, talking a bag of trash. Talking about Viv Richard's batting without helmet, all of the batsmen before him started to played test cricket.Never batted without helmet, Sunil Gavakar from India 🇮🇳 batting without helmet throughout his career and, making back to back hundreds off the wi bowling attacks. Also he has scored the most test hundreds against the wi attacks, about 17 test hundreds. When I heard this is saying that the very 5 top batsmen from the wi team and. Called Pollard, Hetmyer then you realized that he has no knowledge about cricket. I hates to hear stupid conversations, where people is talking about a subject which they have no knowledge about. Because Pollard are Hetmyer knows nothing about batting, they cannot make no test team in the world. Based on stats Gayle is the best all-round batsman ever for the wi team and anybody can challenge me talking their trash, he is the only batsman for the wi team. To ever scores hundreds in all 3 formats of cricket for the wi team, also his 2 triple hundreds in test cricket. He is the very first batsman in the world to scored hundreds in all 3formats of cricket before any batsman, also the 1st batsman in the history of odi to scored double hundreds in odi world cup championship trophy competition, but the 1st batsman to scored double hundreds in odi was Tendulkar against the wi team. Greatness comes by performances not by who you likes, it is all about stats.I know that you have a lot of cyber bullies out there, because they does not understand the intricacies about great players. Gayle is the most exciting batsman ever from the wi team, he draws more crowds worldwide than any other wi batsmen. If you looked upon RU-vid channel, then you will realized what am saying, some of the greatest innings he ever played. Don't argue with me just check the RU-vid channel and, the results is there ok.Only great players can scored two triple centuries in their careers and, it is only batsmen to do it is the history of cricket. Bradman, Lara,Gayle and Sewag all 4 great players,to show the world that they can do it more than once, ok.

Thanks for the comment Mr Forde. I think I meant to say 'fastest' to 5000....which he was, along with Sobers. They both took 95 innings...I'll make sure I mention that next time. Hayden and Gavaskar also did it in 95 knocks. Who is your favourite Windies Bowler of all time?

One has to look at stats and NOT FAVORITES IN THE WEST INDIES if one is going to talk about batsmen the same way Don Bradman is regarded as the best batsman the World has produced BECAUSE OF HIS STATS.Therefore, according to the STATS....George Headley tops the list with an av.of 61 followed by Everton Weeks 59...,Sobers 58....Clyde Walcott 57...Lara 53 and Richards 50.Firthermore, the caption is wrong and misleading...Top 5 batsman IN 2024????

Thanks to everyone who has been commenting on this one. Yes I agree putting 2024 in the title could be misunderstood, not intentional I assure you, more here I am making this video in 2024, not Batsmen who are playing in 2024. I'll change this on future videos for sure. A little more context though if I may. I don't make these top 5 videos based on any stats or rankings. I simply name the 5 Batters that I personally take enjoyment from. My memories of a boy growing up, learning to love the game, like I'm sure you all do too. The only criteria is that I must have seen them play so the older greats such as Sobers, I never saw and so would never presume to know much about them.

This guy making a lot of mistakes that Lara is the greatest batsman in 35 years, that is lot of nonsense you are talking young man.There several batsmen out there in the last 35 ,is a far better batsman than Lara. Ricky Ponting, Jacques Kallis,just to mention a few of them. Those guys has scored more hundreds and, runs far more than Lara. The only 2records Lara have is the 375,and the 400 not out.He has no more records, he Tendulkar is far better than Lara, 34,500 runs and 100 centuries overall, to Lara 22,468 runs also 53 centuries.Lara have the most runs overall as a wi batsman and centuries, but other batsmen have a lot of records. Which Lara will achieve it during his career, this guy need to looked at the batsmen them stats. What he failed to understand that Lara only have the highest scores in one inning in test cricket, but not the highest score in a test match. The man with the highest score is a test match, is Graham Gooch from England at Lord's against india in 1988,he scored 333 in the 1st inning and 123 in the 2nd innings making him a total 456 runs into a test match, ok.

I am watching the Indian team more than 60years years, I know when Sunil Gavakar played his 1st test cricket in Jamaica 🇯🇲 in 1971.Players liked Bedi, Shanda shaker,Sardi side, I may not spelled their name differently because, your language is not English. Anyway you need to study your stats,before you do your homework. Tendulkar, Lara could be my son's and I, know when both of them started their test career, Tendulkar is about 1988 or 1989,and Lara started in 1990.I can tell you about all of the teams, when some of them started to played test cricket. The way you should selected a player in a team, by the amount of runs or wickets they took during their careers. You are selecting players as the greatest player, who doesn't have enough runs or wickets to make that list. If you are going to selected top bowlers, no bowlers with lesser than 500 wickets should be in that category. Also no batsmen with lesser than 10,000 test runs or odi should be in that category. You have batsmen like Sunil Gavakar with over 10,000 runs and you have players with lesser runs and centuries overall and they are in the greatest test batsmen. That is very, very stupid, what is the criteria that you used to selected those players. When you looked at Walsh is the all times leading bowlers for the wi team with 519 wickets under his belt and, you are selecting Marshall with lesser than 400 wickets to his name, Ambrose with 408 wickets, Garner with 259 wickets. You are totally disrespecting the leading bowlers of the wi team, you are not showing him any form of respect for his personal performances over the years. Some people is afraid to speak the truth about the whole scenario, because they are afraid of the repercussions that they are going to face but. I am not, because I have all the information around me and, more importantly, I being watching those players from a very young age. So I don't haveto read someone else opinions or narratives, because I watched them live in matches on several occasions.
