Gautam's tremendous batting in 2007 and 2011 world cup is often forgotten because of his jealousy towards MS Dhoni and general negativity and bitter attitude. Team India's mental conditioning coach himself wrote in his book that he has never met someone as insecure as Gautam in his life.

@@bittertruth8189 He is just blunt and doesn't suck up to people in power like dhoni, he speaks his mind without any hesitation. Insecurity is a strong word used in way to make headlines, he just more passionate about his game, GG is kind of guy who strives for more like he scored 100 but not satisfied because he wanted 200 despite this he rose up to become one of the best batsman.

@@anirudhchauhan3925 your point is correct but with so much money at stake and present day competition, that's kind of inevitable especially in india. look at kohli, he pushed chahal, KL rahul, Siraj etc. Rahul is still not a national-team level player. But pulling them into national team increases their stock value and some of them get signed by Cornerstone etc - so they are playing with $ being priority. GG was still world-class, no argument there regarding his game and contribution
