The government is the biggest drug-dealer. They have tricked the general population into thinking that they want drugs out of circulation but they actually want everybody doped up. That's why there is no punishment for drug users and dealers.
@@username-sm2pw What was the very first thing the U.S. did when it invaded Afghanistan in 2001? The military took control of the Poppy Fields. There's more! What was the Taliban doing BEFORE the U.S. invaded? They were BURNING those same Poppy Fields. 🤔 Now you know why there's been a record spike in opiate use since 2001. Demoralize, and then provide a drug to cope with that demoralization. "". . . infiltration not invasion. @@Luckyboyee777 I doubt it's even that. And if it is, it's a small fine that the criminal doesn't bother to pay, and for which he suffers no consequences for not paying.
And pouring in millions of tax dollars for nothing .....people are fed up with London Bridges Breed always thinking of new ways to give money and benefits for oppressed people of color.
@@donjose6520 These condescending arrogant, virtue signaling far-leftist don't get it.. When you support bad behavior, that does not solve the problem, FAR from it. It's called 'enabling' actually makes the problem worse. And that's exactly what's happening.... In essence, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Like when Kansas was digging itself into a hole under Brownback and kept digging. The problem is extremists and ideologues on both sides of the political spectrum.
@V N yea burden the American taxpayer even more for a crisis that begins with mental health. Addiction cannot be beaten with brute force but with treatment. China once again is at the root of this problem and we do nothing to actually pressure or push the Chinese Communist Party to aid in the halt of fentanyl coming to America through their tankers.
It’s kind of pointless to arrest junkies in SF. I mean, the jail is a block away from the tenderloin so what do you benefit by arresting these people? All they’re going to do is dry out in a jail cell for a few days, be released back into the tenderloin and go get high again. It’s the same cycle. It’s just a waste of tax payers money.
And yet all the officials keep getting re elected or they elect like minded people. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
Walgreens has been fined millions of dollars for not giving people the sale price on sale items. they do this intentionally. I’ve caught them doing it even after they were fined. In order to get the five dollars to the customer every time they ring up the wrong price they refuse to give me my five dollars and from then on every time I went to that store they made me pay through the cosmetics line. The minute the guy saw me in line you can make an announcement for them to open up the cosmetics line corset usually meant I got thru the line faster But he was doing it as a punishment to me for insisting on my five dollars. Because I hadn’t actually paid for the stuff yet he said oh it wasn’t rung up I’m like he rang it up on your cash register that’s what ringing up means it doesn’t mean paying for it it means you tried to charge me that amount the wrong amount the higher amount the non-sale amount.
Anyone who has lived in SF for a prolonged period of time knows the Tenderloin has been a drug selling/buying neighborhood for many decades. This did not start last year.
Get rid of the Liberal so-called "Leadership" and start cleaning it up with stiffer penalties would be your first step. As far as helping goes... an addict will not change and will refuse help until he/she actually WANTS to be helped... there's no middle ground, it's a fact.
Most homeless are addicted to drugs and deal with a form of mental illness, this isn’t like your dead beat brother that got high and flunked out of college bro it’s a whole other beast.
“We’ll keep doing our jobs soooooo everyone else can do theirs.” In other words, we can keep putting cuffs on them but it’s a different agency that’s supposed to keep them behind bars
What’s the point of arresting them? Eventually they will be release again by the same people some of you voted. If you actually want change then change how you vote.
This isn't new, and this has always been an issue in this area for the last 26+ years. That are where the farmers market is, was known as the thieves market because that's where you could buy everything that had been shoplifted. I lived at 555 O'Farrell Street for almost 5 years and Antonio Alley was off the hook. If there would have been RU-vid and HD video, I'd have a million dollar channel.
Totally! For decades it's been this way... I lived on O'Farrell and Van Ness in 2003...Drug addicts living outside on the sidewalks with their grocery carts, sleeping bags and teddy bears🧸. The smell of urine everywhere on the streets and in the busses, especially stinky on a hot and muggy days🤮. Interesting that they've decided to do something? Maybe because so many finally decided to move out of the city because of it...
I lived in the TL for a year on Turk st 10 years ago, and let me tell you, the stuff I saw is so crazy, you would tell me I made it up. That being said, driving through the TL, it seems much worse than ever before. More people on the streets, way more homeless on the streets, and more chaos. It's defiantly getting worse.
And yet they keep on spending resources to continue to arrest people for non-violent crimes while simultaneously increasing violent crime. Maybe they should consider a different approach.
There's a huge difference between being addicted to anything and being a straight up criminal. Fact: True Criminals prey largely on addicts of any sort and the weak and vulnerable.
I just don’t see dems changing anything. They are just too soft on issues. People have no business complaining if they continue to vote these people in, it’s that simple.
Lol wtf why burden a bankrupt state with meaningless work like arresting junkies for getting high? We need to open up looney bins again and get these people off the street and somewhere they can get the mental health treatment they need.
Activists prevent the homeless from being categorized and getting the help they need. And some how its ok to drug dealing. I was once told it is just somebody just trying to make a living.
It’s happen all over Sf, since DA don’t press charge on criminals. Catch and release promos more peplople doncrimes. Burglary, car jack, robbery etc.. Back than Sf is a beautiful city everyone wanted to visit. Now everybody run away.
You’re an idiot… you obviously don’t know what that phrase means… I live in a small town now with less then 20k people and I find it ridiculous that the police department has 20 military grade hummers while our fire department has to lay off people… Defunding means using tax payers money for to help train the police to better help the community…. I’ve known several police officers who have said that the folks at the top are wasteful when it comes to utilizing the police budget…
@@solarhits0411 not long ago south American gangs were found in my country in parts. Everything has a silver lining. People pay for lungs, liver, heart, big money. So I ask you again why keep them 8n your city when they serve no purpose in society. At least if they come here I make profits for each so called tough guy. Tattoos no problem they won't need them later. Or teeth. Sorry English not so good. You speak Kazakh or Russian?
I don’t understand how this story made the news. Defunding the police, letting hundreds of thousands of of felons out of jail and not prosecuting criminals was the fix
Homelessness and open drug sales are part of San Francisco as Cable Cars and Fisherman's Wharf now. Your car broken into to steal your luggage is now part of the San Francisco experience. Welcome to San Francisco, the city by the Bay.
@@sanfrancisco89 No. It is still there. It has been renamed, Justice. Mercy is the core of this world. A parasitic core. It is not gone it is only growing stronger.
Keep voting democrats guys it’s not like their policies have created every problem the city has. It’s not like democrats defunded police and called them racist. It’s not like democrats called criminals victims and now the rich and poor are equally likely to become a victim. That’s equality.
The city has open drug policy with needle exchange program where they even encourage addicts to come there and do as much drugs as you want where the city will provide you with medical help when in need.
The needle exchange program is actually one of the best moves the city has made. It prevents HIV, hepatitis, etc. from spreading. Now, that being said, pelosi and the DA don’t enforce basic laws so drugs in SF have been decriminalized. Being an illegal immigrant who’s career path is a drug dealer, San Francisco is basically their safe haven. They know there’s no consequences that will arise from being just overall terrible human beings.
This is a big issue like Federalies that turn their back on where the drugs come from. They will never admit it, because it goes against the credo of affirmative action.
Don't matter if there are police or not when the law is broken. These people get arrested, gets a slap on the wrist or sorry for your trouble and gets right back out on the street doing the same sh*t
I work for Bart. And i started my career at civic center 4 years ago. That experience changed my life forever. I didnt know anything the current drug epidemic or the effects.
I drove Lyft for 5 years in Sf - I have lived here for 12 years. I have been solicited by multiple drug dealers while waiting for passengers in the TL. Sometimes multiple solicitations during a 5 minute window waiting for my rider, oddly the dealers have always been very nice during those interactions 🙄
Lol, theyre not gonna get far being mean! Most of their customers are just normal people who have an addiction. If Becky or Mike or Ebony or DeShawn from the burbs rolls up to a corner in the TL and a dealer walks up, brandishes a weapon and says "wtf you want muthafucka, you want some crack?" Do you think Becky, ect is going to stick around and buy? Of course not. Back when i was an addict, after i got my drugs and paid, 9 times out of 10 the dealer would say a polite "thank you!", and i'd say "thanks", and they'd walk away. Also, and i know this is going to be an unpopular statement, but... they arent devils. "But they sell drugs!" Ok... what about Sarah who works at Bevmo and sells multiple alcoholics their gallons of vodka every few days, even tho its obvious theyre in late stage alcoholism. Alcohol kills way more people than all drugs combined. We dont see Sarah as evil. Im not saying dealing should be allowed. Drug addiction ruins lives. But dealers are actually human beings just like us. No reason for them to be mean to pptential customers.
Liberals have made it so that there's almost no penalty for any of these crimes. Try voting for conservative politicians who will put criminals in jail.
I work in the city & open drug/ crime is overwhelming. There is no accountability here. No arrests. San Francisco is a hell hole that is only getting worse. Don’t move here don’t visit here. It’s just not worth it
A lot of CA big cities are becoming more and more crime ridden/overrun by homeless/drug & alcohol addicts but SF and LA are leading the way it seems due to inaction or improper solutions/band-aid solutions
Yup. I have no issue with anyone who wants to do drugs to their heart's content, but they should be away from the general public. My thinking is that a mix of homeless, addicts, dealers and mentally ill want to mix in with the normies for cover and safety, and to grift the gullible softies.
SFO is lost. They make more money getting paid by the dealers then They do there actual jobs. I think honestly to many cops and people in power are getting there cut in all this.
I am a nurse on the ground there. It is dark AF, the tenderloin was small and it has grown. People shoot up on the street... To be honest. The poor are a litmus test. They are the canaries in the mine. This is what nonhope looks like. Why does Hunter's point look so good now. Bit the heart of the city is so gross?
And THAT is our problem. To some degree, the city is too lenient in there's a good portion of homeless people in SF who don't want to work for anything. If you give them a house, cool, but they are happy on street and living off of the services the city provides. There has to be a middle ground.
For Gods sake let the U.S. Attorney step in. Each of those drug crimes can be prosecuted in federal court under federal law with much stiffer sentences. Particularly when the D.A. and courts fail to act. The citizens should petition the federal prosecutors to take charge.
Love what Thomas Wolfe has to say! Let’s all put down our ideologies, balance compassion with accountability, and do the work it will take to find solutions.
