I'm willing to bet most crimes don't even get reported.. There are some crazy things going on in my Queens neighborhood and it never even makes the news.. Stores getting held up, people getting mugged, cars getting vandald and broken into.. Meanwhile if you check the crimes states you'll read that it's a wonderful place to live and raise a family with very little crime to speak of..

In NY the mayor is a Democrat. Of the 51 city council seats 46 are held by Democrats. The AG is a Democrat. The DA is a Democrat. The Police Commissioner is appointed by the mayor. The issues NYC is having are due to the culture within the city, which is the result of the policies of the Democratic Party. The most recent Republican mayor of New York City served from 1994-2001.

Body language analysis tells me the female worker..at the jewelry store is involved..her response is rehearsed..and she was emotionless for a woman who said she wanted to get home to her kids..she would've had a more distraught response.

They can't keep shoplifters behind bars...They won't have space for high crime offenders. It costs somewhere between 50,000 to 80,000 a year to keep someone behind bars. And that is ur tax dollars.
