It's amazing how Zack is able to destroy an entire army,except those last 3 guys.

Honestly. Imagine how she felt when she found out he died. I hope they bring her back in whatever sequel SE decides to make.

Wow, I was like totally under the impression that Zack and Cloud were stuck in that Shinra basement for 5 years, not that they escaped after 4 and Zack had been on the run with a catatonic Cloud for a year -- that must have been tough...

What Psychotic said...Cloud was a lab rat for four years and was too emotionally/mentally/physically weak for the Jenova/Mako treatment, resulting in Mako poisoning (mental breakdown, catatonic state).

Reno reminds me of Shikamaru from Naruto. both are slackers, talk with the same tone and are really smart

So Zack and Cloud were on the run for a year? Whoa! I never knew that. Long time for Cloud to be out of it. That makes it even more sad that he started to recover just as Zack was walking away to his death. :(

It is not "missing" in that sense. Square had not directed the Crisis Core version of Zack's death when they made the quick flashback we see in AC. They adjusted things to their wish in Crisis Core without thinking about AC, that simple.

@amarantine1323 Put it like this. Mako is like a drug...a really powerful drug that never leaves the system. SOLDIERs are likely eased into that drug. It's supposed to mess with your head quite a bit. Cloud never passed the SOLDIER exams. So he hadn't had even had a drop of mako in his life. Then Hojo gets his claws into him and literally dunks him in the stuff. Probably shocked his system. Then Zack takes him out and he goes cold turkey. It caused his body to shut down temporarily.

I've been thinking the same thing. Gosh, he's in for a rude awakening. Cloud: "What the heck happened while I was out!?" Zack: "Have I told you we've become a part of a big video game franchise exploiting all our past miseries for economic gain and consumer amusement?" Cloud: "WTF!?" o.O;

There's no voice or text, but you can "see" a part of that scene in Cloud's flashback in the ending. It's from Cloud's POV, looking at Zack's face and they're both running (the camera angle's all shaky). I think SE found a way to sneak it in. Also, the scene where Zack first meets Cloud and says "Me? I'm from Gongaga" isn't in CGI, but in Cloud's flashback in the ending it is! I just found that strange...

I think the Turks were on their own mission, without cooperating with Shin-Ra and Tseng was the head of it. He had (or almost had) befriended Zack five years later and probably had feelings for Aeris, that's why he's been meaning to save Zack and give those letters to him...

Poor Cloud...just begining to recover to see his friend walking off to die. I feel so sorry for Cissnei. Just imagine how different things could've turned out if the Turks had found Zack and Cloud first...

poor cissnei...zack was so great!he was kind funny brave strong well at least his dream came true most people are considered heros after their death not to mention many times you have to die to become one

He didn't let Zack die... The turks couldn't get there fast enough to prevent him from being slaughtered by the army...

[cont'd] and yet, after managing to elude them for so long, he rushes headlong into a suicidal situation...like a "puppy". Don't get me wrong - I think his story is heartbreakingly poetic and he died a hero, but damn, he didn't have to go out like that. Tragic indeed.

I just don't understand what Zack was thinking, before the ambush I mean. He's one of the best SOLDIERs and he couldn't find a way to sneak into Midgar? Broad daylight in the middle of desert wasteland surrounding the city...there had to be a smarter way of doing this. I realize we wouldn't have such a great, tragic story/character without these events, but he HAD to know they were waiting for him (helicopters flying overhead, transport vehicles, hundreds of troops, etc.), [cont'd]

But do you know why Tseng wants to save Zack and Cloud when the rest of Shinra wants to kill them (presumably because they're kind of the last "loose ends"/evidence of the Sephiroth/Nibelheim incident.)? Does he know something Shinra doesn't? Or is it just because he's just kind of Zack's friend? Or is it because he wants what's best for Aerith?

zoto at the end of his sentences have no meaning. It's just a way of talking, kind of like Naruto's Dattebayo! which also has no meaning. It's kind of like their own dialects.
