Brandon Routh's suit has definition padding, meanwhile Hoechlin's suit is padded around d his muscles. That actually Tyler's body. Although I really wanted to see Tyler hoechlin play Terry McGinnis, I'm excited to see his Superman show. He's an amazing actor and was limited on Supergirl because well it's her show. They had to downplay him, when he first appeared he boosted her rating's.

Right, because what fans really wanted was another pointless Lex mission. Honestly the fact that they went so hard to make sure that Supergirl was the only Supes to assure the doesn't get overshadowed, which she would have easily seeing as how Brandon Routh's Superman is far more likable, amazes me. Why does it only have to be the 7 Paragons who fight The Anti-Monitor? You'd stand more of a chance if you had all of the heroes together. 3 Kryptonians, Metahumans, all of Team Arrow, Team Supergirl, Team Legends, Flash, etc. I know the CW doesn't have the biggest budget but imagine if we got an entire Multiverse standing up to and fighting the Ani-Monitor.

They did the Reeves era Superman dirty here. Yes, Routh is playing the Reeves era Superman, from the movies that redefined the Superman mythos for new generations. They erased him from existence and replaced his status as the Paragon of Truth with Lex Luthor, a dude whose whole shtick is deception and greed. Just for shock value. That is not the death that this iconic version of Superman deserved. The writers had a prime opportunity to kill him off with some dignity. Routh’s Superman should have died fighting the Anti-Monitor, just as Supergirl did in the original COIE comic. Just imagine: The heroes come across the Anti-Monitor’s fortress. It seems abandoned. The heroes approach and enter with trepidation. Suddenly, the walls come alive, and minions attack them. They fight them off bravely, with Supergirl and Superman barely managing to get by, both noticing that the minions are strong enough to make them bleed. Unbeknownst to our heroes, the Anti-Monitor is lurking in the shadows. Then, the Anti-Monitor strikes Supergirl down, preparing to kill her. But Superman, bolstered by Lois’s words earlier, rises to the occasion, ready to defend Supergirl. He tears the entire floor from its foundations and snaps it like a dirty blanket, causing the Anti-Monitor to stumble and fall. Superman then flies into the Anti-Monitor at full speed, drawing him away from the rest of the heroes. As they fly, Superman unleashes his full strength upon the Anti-Monitor. He hits him with punches that are so fierce they manage to crack the Anti-Monitor’s armor, causing energy to leak out. The Anti-Monitor is scared, pleading for Superman to stop. But Superman does not relent. After unleashing a torrent of punches that unleash grievous damage unto the Anti-Monitor, Superman, weakened by the torrent of anti-matter waves flowing from the damaged Anti-Monitor, turns towards the heroes, yelling “GO! GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!” The other heroes are reluctant to do so, but they know that they will not get another chance. One by one they flee; Barry is ferrying them out until only Supergirl is left. As Barry lifts Supergirl and starts to run off, the Anti-Monitor gets a second wind, and rains punches and energy blasts on Superman. Supergirl looks on in horror as Barry flees with her in tow. Eventually, Superman succumbs to the Anti-Monitor’s onslaught. But no, shock value is more important than proper send offs, I guess. As is shitting all over the legacy of established, iconic characters to prop up second-rate, hand-me-down “heroes”.

Powerful outcome but one question the powers of the whole crisis which must be still around even after the final showdown the story isn't over I wonder if the end of Green Arrow means his gone forever or if things follow the comics the next phase will probably be based around the Darkside storyline Legends with possible reboots or new blood heroes and if not the New Gods plot they live among us throw in a new costume or two and bring in Plastic Man and Quesion and Phatom Stranger and Steel and some evil versions of JL and the time travelling Hourman and Booster Gold and the Metal Men and Man Bat and Bat Mite?

That is the shittiest version of Lex Luthor to ever pollute the screen. The fact that they used him to replace Kingdom Come Supes is a slap to the face.

I get it's Lex Luthor, but aren't his actions here uncharacteristically dumb? The Paragons were needed to save the multiverse, himself included, and he risked them not being able to do that just to ensure his own life, even if only for a short time. He willingly stranded himself in what is essentially nowhere, when he should have known that the heroes were very likely to save the day, restore reality and return him to a universe where he remains the wealthy man he is (given their track record). Heck, at the very least, I would have expected him to figure out it was better to replace Choi as the paragon of Humanity, despite his hatred for Superman. At the end of the crossover they even have him accepting an award for serving to better humanity. All that said, I guess it adds drama to what is ultimately a TV show. It just seems a little peculiar.
