I’m glad you like it.And how did you figure out the secret ingredient.Almost no☝️know the secret ingredients to a lot of 🇹🇼 street foods. I’m glad that you figured it out,cuz that’s the correct way to make🇹🇼fried🍗.Looks😋🤤.enjoy.
A lot of websites don’t advertise it but,you can take your foreign friends to the Chinese supermarket and introduce them to the product and what it’s use for.
After watching 6 videos with your nephew in it, I have to finally be honest........ Your nephew needs to at least pretend he is happy to be there. He is bringing in a low vibe. He is bored and negative compared to you and your husband. I like watching you and Jacob because of your joyful energy. Not your negative nephew.
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing Taiwanese street food cuisine, for distinguishing between Thai and Taiwanese, AND saying Chinese/Taiwanese markets. The representation means the world to me and fellow Taiwanese Americans. ❤️
Yes same! I’m only half Taiwanese (my mom is Taiwanese and my dad is white) and we have a lot of Taiwanese pride so that distinction means a lot lol ❤️🇹🇼
I made this, it was incredible!! Thank you so much for this! The previous times I've tried making popcorn chicken, it just never worked out. The bean curd is KEY!!
I absolutely love that you can go eat something and re-create it. You are so talented. Thank you so much for sharing the recipe. I know you read the comments, please please please do not take to heart the rude comments. You are getting more popular and sadly with that comes ignorant people. I've seen it happen to Mark Wiens and Mike Chen. So chin up and smile. Remember there are lots of other followers like myself that appreciate all your hard work.
Not exactly the same but if you have a mini so store they might have something sorta similar. I bought this in San Fran last fall. miniso-au.com/en-au/product/148744/teaspoon
This is exactly basil popcorn chicken that I get every time I visit Tea 4. It is super addictive. Thank you so much for posting this recipe and I will definitely try it. Thank you again Seonkyoung.
My so desired travel to Taiwan 🇹🇼 is on standby due to Coronavirus 😢 so I guess I have to make at home all this delicious taiwanese food I saw in the pictures sent by my bf 😂🥰. Delicious and funny 😆!! Thank you 😊🙏🏻
@@AdventuresofCarlienne Q-CUP FOREVER! They were always really consistent. I really miss Q-Cup. I only really went to the Cupertino one. I just checked and I saw that Fremont still has one but i'm too lazy to drive all the way over lol.
@@polaroidjay haha that's a pretty far drive but at least now you can make this at home and you don't have to ride through the traffic to get to Fremont.
So thankful you kept your recipes up--my daughter decided she wants to covert to vegan so I've been trying and testing recipes. Anyway, I remembered she LOVED your popcorn chicken so earlier I made her some but used oyster mushrooms and I have to tell you--SO good. Even better and easier than using actual chicken :D
Looking forward to making this recipe. Also, I have a question about the gold/white measure spoons and cups that you used in this video and the clips for the The 8 Most Popular Recipes of 2020 from Asian at Home. Really interested in where you got them.
I love the country of Taiwan. The people, food, and the real Chinese culture, unlike the fake Chinese Communist Party in China. Taiwanese night markets have such an amazing variety of food, but this Taiwanese fried chicken is incredible! Thank you
Yeah...and he was eating/chewing over the bowl and basically searching through the whole bowl for his piece instead of at least keeping it to his corner to keep it somewhat sanitary. He's contaminated the whole bowl for everyone else when there was a pair of chopsticks just for him. Eeeww.
Ok. Someone start a petition. We need to have a love button -- only on Seonkyoung's channel, but, seriously, the like button? NOT ENOUGH. MUST TO HAVING A LOVE BUTTON FOR THIS VIDEO. ☺
That dish looked SO GOOD. It will be hard to find Thai basil here. But regular basil, yes. Nice to see you doing videos again. I miss watching you all eat! Lol.
Your husband and nephew are like zombies running to the food as soon as it’s ready and makes me smile every time. The nephew especially looks like once he eats your cooking, then he’s energized to do a dance off. I want that kind of relationship with my niece and nephews lol.
Can you explain why there's so many vendors selling and using the fermented bean curd? Out of curiosity, when I've been there it reaks of this stuff on street
Food looks delicious as usual. I like how everyone is talking about dude not washing his hands but NO ONE clocked the OPEN AIR SNEEZE in the kitchen around food and near inches from another’s face. Just saying. 🤷🏾♀️
Molly B Interesting point. It was always my understanding that sneezes, including the saliva, germs, plaque deposits, and the air used to create them traveled. But who knows, maybe I’m misunderstanding how air and lungs work. Food looks great nonetheless.
There is an old Chinese saying that goes something like this 不乾不淨吃了沒病, which translates roughly to "eat no clean no get sick," which is a great public health policy, when you are exposed to pathogens you develop immunity, but we here in the western society are obsessed with cleanliness, and we get sick the moment we stepped out of our bubbles, look at the street vendors, what kind of sanitary guidelines do you think they practice?
Hi. I love all your dishes and you so fun to watch. But please make sure ,your fellow next to you uses his chopsticks instead of his fingers next time, they were so Red next to him on the counter that he could not miss them lol. Sorry , this is not a criticism but rather a question of hygiene. Keep up the good work, and thanks again for all your wonderful recipes..:) :) :)
I going to do this "air fry" way. "You had me at *crunch*". You just kicked me um...to the delish zone! Poppy-Waving to you from southeast Georgia.. ; )
She has a couple recipes and 1 recipe she did with her mother. You'll have to search through her videos or search on her website. But I agree. I wish she had more, especially with fresh water fish.

Wow this recipe is so different as the version I just posted on my channel with 7-up. Of course we used some sweet potato powder. I wonder how many different marinade versions are our there
I made this today and it was so freaking good. My dad even liked it and he doesn't even like chicken. Thank you for the recipe! Will be making it again!
