Crispy French fries Recipe :
(바삭한 감자튀김 레시피 )
Potatoes 600g
(감자 600g)
Corn flour 2 tablespoons
(옥수수가루 2큰술)
2 tablespoons butter
(버터 2큰술)
Garlic 2 tablespoons
(마늘 2큰술)
Fried twice: 1st time 15 minutes, 2nd time 5 minutes
(2번 튀기기 : 1회 15분, 2회 5분)

The video says corn flour but the subtitles corn starch, was wondering which is the correct option? Since most videos mention removing the starch from the potato’s rather than adding to it.

I will try the corn starch for sure. Another tip is to add some vinegar to the boil. The chips will still soften but they are less likely to snap etc. So you can be slightly more aggressive with the boil

Totally, it is like remove the natural starsh of the potatoes by washing and boiling to then add... cornstarsh... you can litterally start the recipe by frying, just don't wash the potatoes after cutting so they keep their starsh and you will get the same result.

Appreciate the sharing. Appreciate the time you put into doing this. Very few people after trying this once, are going to do all these steps just to make french fries.

That’s not true ! Perhaps you wouldn’t but a lot of people would make this recipe repeatedly . The adding cornflour and twice frying is an old cooking method that people have used and still do use.

Cooking is chemistry. Never thought of cornstarch to draw all the moisture out so the potatos can crisp. Great recipe!

I do the same thing, but with onion rings. They’re delectable. The rings have be really crispy though (and a little dry), or the garlic butter will turn the batter to mush.

@@pearlynng9248 Both spelling either..Saggy loose its original state. Like because of the oil threw on it, it became like softer not as crisp. Soggy, wet or soft so both words could be interchangeable.

Yeah! That’s a lot of work, as is the totally unnecessary step of precooking them in boiling water! That can be skipped because the first fry is the precooking stage! BUT, forget all that and just buy your favorite frozen potato chips/French fries and air fry them and make the garlic butter sauce add your fries, mix and wallah! Eat and enjoy!

Нуда, рецепт для идиотов с большим количеством лишних телодвижений. Промыть картошку в воде от крахмала, чтобы потом засыпать этот же самый крахмал в пакет к этой же картошке. Сварить ее сначало в воде, как будто если сразу ее не кинуть в кипящее масло она в нем не сварится.
