12:49 "The issue isn't that vegan food isn't good. The issue is that people don't know and don't care how to make good vegan food so people just assume that vegan food is crap." Best part.
Vegan sushi also just sounds like a great option for people who aren’t vegan but are scared to eat raw fish. I don’t get why it’s not a more common menu item since everyone could benefit from the deliciousness
There's lots of traditional vegan sushi in Japan! :) Pickled daikon, rehydrated gourd, or shiso ume maki are my favorites. The inari ones you had are common too. There's also natto, more often in handrolls. I've seen temarizushi decorated beautifully with vegetables, but that's more of a home cooking thing. I think as long as the rice is good and it's kept simple, it's pretty welcome in Japan.
Wow Rose, that looked like a mountain of food, and you absolutely demolished it! I don't know where you put it. And also I was amazed when you said that the tempura was frozen and then reheated in the air fryer. The crunch on it was incredible!
I am already excited about your next Mukbang video, Rose. I was fortunate today because I scheduled a tea break to happen at the same time as this video. Everything was delicious looking...yummy🤗!
Oh my gosh, the crunch of the tempura. I was drooling! Great mukbang, as per usual. I have tried several of your vegan sushi recipes, and they are all freakin delicious! I haven't tried the pocket one yet, but that's going to be next, I think!
I love tempura vegetables definately need to get your vegan ebook and get busy making sushi. Looking forward to your vegan sushi rolls mukbang next week.
I always get hungry every time I watch your mukbangs. lol! You make everything look delish. I’m saving my dollars to hopefully join you on a trip next year. I wanted to join you this year but the time between when you announced it to the time of the trip was a bit short for me. Japan next year?? Love ya!!
I just had 2 massive rolls of sushi at Sauté-sushi. I thought I was quite sick of it already but watching you eat makes me wanna go back asap🤣 Come and try their sushi when you drop by Singapore again!
Vegan sushi is definitely better in the west with places in LA, SF, Montreal, etc. Japanese vegan sushi is really hit or miss, but the few dedicated veg sushi spots in Tokyo do offer a great variety. You def won't find rolls as intricate as here in the west
It’s actually pretty hard to find vegan options in japan though But if you have happycow it’s not so hard to find the spot, kinda similar to Korea I think
I am a Korean living in Japan over 25 years. No vegan sushi in Japan. Even vegetable stirfry has meat in it. People started to know the word the vegan but long way to go.
I normally do paper hard back vegan cookbooks, is there a way that I can pay you directly to make me a copy of your ebook into a hardback copy. ill pay double, triple, how ever much you would like plus shipping for you to send it to me. i just love your cooking Rose.
I would like to second this. I’ve bought several ebooks over the years and sometimes I lose the link and just in general I don’t end up using them so I’d love to see Rose have some of her books be printed 🙏
Im loving the creativity in this vegan take on traditional sushi dishes! Im sharing this with my friends who love trying new plant-based eats, come check us out
I LOVE ALL YOUR MUKBANGS SO MUCH. Also but pls i don't like the preview at the start of the video because i don't like getting spoiled, if u can do the mukbnags without the preview pleaseee, everything else is perfect tho love your mukbangs so much
I've never cared about the actual taste of raw fish (because I don't notice it over sauces lol), but I also never understood putting a piece of pepper or tomato on a ball of rice and calling it vegan sushi... All of these look delicious though. Oh and tempura sushi would be amazing too (as in frying the sushi and not just the filling).
