Honestly, I think in the Garnet Au, Either Ruby or Sapphire wouldve stayed behind when the other gave up their physical form to have a child. Its an interesting au when you think about it since there would be a mother. Like one of them wants to have a child but the other stays behind to look after them. Maybe they even got a surrogate.

This is a alternate universe in where that all of the other crystal gems have half human and half gem hybird children instead of Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond.

I gotta say, the ones where they mostly follow the original storyline, or don’t change their origin stories are my favorite. Those versions of the Pearl AU and the Lapis AU are my favorites because they’re Alternate Universes, but they aren’t the same story being told over. And over. And over again.

Everyone: If (Ex: Amythest) gave up her gem then everybody's role has to change! Rose Quarts will become the new Amythest! Bla Bla Bla- Me: I think everything would stay the same. Nobody would end up with anybody else, the roles would be the same. I just think then Amythest would have fallen in love with Greg or somebody and given up her gem for her kid. Nothing else would have change! Everybody: **throws trash at me**

These AUs are pretty cool. I think it would be super neat if there was an AU that followed a similar storyline to the original, except each gem falls for a different human. That way, each human-gem hybrid could exist at once - or maybe the humans we see in canon become half-gems.

I have a lot of favorites on this but I caused myself to worry because of the diamonds but they're beautiful

Out of all of the designs, Dawn (Pearl’s daughter) was probably my favorite. Though, in the amethyst au, the concept of amethyst being the secret diamond and rose being the overcooked Quartz was pretty cool

I like bismuths au because it’s cool lapis and amethyst swapped places jasper and garnet swapped places peridot and pearl swapped places and I think rose is bismuth and bismuth is rose in the au I don’t know

The one that makes the most sense, actually is Amethyst AU. Both rose quartz and amethyst are the exact same gem, their only difference is the color, one is pink and the other is purple.

I like these aus but I kinda wish there were more where the crystal gems stayed in the same roles, like what if amethyst had a kid and the kid had to deal with the fact that she is less powerful than all of the other crystal gems since she is a human and her mom was defective and the crystal gems probably treated younger amethyst like a child despite her being thousands of years old and this kid would have to deal with jeer being taken seriously. Also imagine Bismuth’s child having to deal with the whole Breaking Point situation, knowing that Rose Quartz doesn’t entirely trust her and thinks that she might be Bismuth trying to hide from her mistakes, the kid absolutely growing to hate Rose Quartz with a burning passion after finding out she was Pink Diamonda and having to rethink everything, also on a less serious note, they would absolutely be besties with Peridot, I want that friendship.

Don't get me wrong I really like these kinds of AUs... but I would prefer if the gem they picked to be Steven's mom would keep their original gem placement and Steven's gem or gems would be in the exact same place as his mom's gem or gems.
