I noticed how funny it was when there was the rivalry between Messi and Ronaldo and everything was different, adidas vs nike and stuff 😂 But the most funny part is that the freekicks were also different, Messi was more of a curve guy and used left foot, and Ronaldo was more of a knuckleball guy and used his right foot 😶
Tbh knuckleball is truly a keeper's worst nightmare when hit correctly...even so...the kicker didnt have any clue where the ball will bend ...its pure random movement

It's called the knuckleball effect. It happens if the ball has no spin or a tiny bit spin. Which causes the ball to make weird unpredictable movements in the air
I was playing in my friends pitch and we were practicing freekicks, I was the player and my friend was the keeper, then I noticed i can do knuckle balls, so. I stepped back 10 steps and then went for it, I did the same setup as ronaldo, then I kicked the ball. My friend (who was the keeper) literally was confused and I didn’t know what happened because I looked down until my friend said that the ball moved left to the right immediately and then I scored, I was so shocked even my friend.
Knuckle ball doesn't spin like a curve ball. The ball is turning left and right slightly unpredictaly midair. The ball movement midair affect it's trajectory. My hypothesis. Prove me wrong.

I did this once in practice. I think it was because I kicked the ball with as much power as I could. If that’s the case then damn Ronaldo got a rocket in his leg
thats because he applied so much spin to the ball and make its trajectory curved, of course you need power in your kicks to make it spin faster hence more curve
The older Ronaldo got the less he started scoring free kicks maybe he lost the trajectory of his shot and is try to find it again which is why sometimes the ball just goes way over or just hits the wall Bc you don’t really see him trying to shoot differently
42 freekick goals until 2014 🤯 and tendinosis ruined his career 😢. If that injury didnt happen just imagine how much he scores freekicks till this year😯🐐.
