no, because i stated when playing a video game and somebody asks “what button combo did you press to do that?” i wouldn’t be able to tell them. simply because it’s all muscle memory. ronaldo wouldn’t be able to tell you the moves he just did (which was 30 moves in 8 seconds), because it’s all muscle memory from years of practice.

Physically you can’t do anything about statistics. Mentally, I think the one test with the darkness shows how good he is.

​@@Dani_4681 That test is not really indicative of anything. I've played both college and semi-professionally. I wouldn't pretend to be able to do that now, but we used to make bets about who could hit specific posts with this kind of thing--for fun. Were we as consistent as Ronaldo probably is? There's no way this isn't edited. And there's no way to even extrapolate based on just a few attempts. So I don't even know how consistent he genuinely is or comparable to someone more capable than a player in "Ronald" who seems to be a below average player. But the ability to track a ball, have the lights shut off, and still be able to make intentional contact isn't uniquely impressive. I've coached high schoolers who could close their eyes and do this. Is Ronaldo an athletic beast? Yes. Is he an exceptional and dedicated once in a lifetime talent and player? Absolutely. Are these tests really meaningful? No.

And the fact that so many people allow themselves to be blinded by marketing is forever remarkable. There is no scientific value in pointing out that Ronaldo has uneven calf muscles. Every human on the planet has uneven muscles everywhere. There is no scientific value in demonstrating that he is slower in cleats than a professional sprinter is in basic running shoes. There is no scientific value in him performing a running-start vertical leap. Everyone's vertical leap increases with a running start--including basketball players, who in fact do not test their vertical leap with a running start. There is no scientific value in him being able to play keep away with some random guy in jeans for 5 seconds. No value in him being able to track a ball and then make contact with it when the lights shut off. None of this is scientifically valuable. It's not tested properly. It's not evaluated properly. It is literally just branding and marketing. That's it.
