First of all; all footballers, even the very best depends on having a good team around them, both Messi and Ronaldo. It won't work without other making runs for you or playing passes for you and I think you are fully aware of this. Secondly, you say Ronaldo didn't do shit without scoring the goal. But that's where Ronaldo differs from the greats and which makes him one of the best of all-time. He can go an entire game without having done anything, (which wasn't the case at all in El Clásico where he defended, dribbled, had an assist for a wrongly-disallowed Bale goal and had a shot in the crossbar) and then burst into one brilliant decisive moment in the 90th minute of the game in which he won the game for his team. He keeps the focus, will and desire up to keep pushing until the last minute even if he feels that it wasn't his day. That's what makes Cristiano Ronaldo one of the best of all-time.
