The singing is beautiful as always, The charisma is completely lacking as always. nothing in this performance conveys young virgin. Just Stoned faced matron. Still I have to admit it’s my favorite version of this aria. Even with her absolute lack of charm. The vocal technique is totally mesmerizing.
@@Parker-930 Her voice is all we need. We don't need pretty pretty young girls who can't sing but are only lovely for men to look at. It's about the voice - and Christina's was never bettered and with what is around now never will be.

Great chest participation in the high register without compromising the crystalline color of her voice. Dynamics, high note, trills she was just fearless and peerless.
When you listen to this kind of special voices you don’t focus on little mistakes or missing stuff in their presentation you just watch it until they finish it and respect them. Rarely can find voice like hers.❤
Es una BELLEZA total de voz . Y cuando dijo belleza, digo el todo. Muchos comentarios recibió siempre sobre vaya a saber uno qué purismo de turno no podía o no puede soportar la originalidad particular de cada voz. Cristina es la gloria de lo que se dice cantar, del bel canto, de lo lírico. Muyyyyyyy infravalorada porque el ser humano es envidioso y le cuesta aceptar a los fenomenales. Por allí leo de algunos "pequeños errores".....¿Que otros cantantes no los tienen, no los han tenido o tendrán? Muéstrame cuantos en vivo hacen TODO bien....en fin.... A Ctistina siempre se le permite decir "algo"....porque ha hecho de todo y jamás malogró su voz. Y lo hizo con medios genuinos sin problemas en todo el registro de su voz a lo largo de toda su carrera. ¿Cuantos pueden o pudieron hacerlo? Una lección de vida artística, de conducta vocal acertada. Y aquí es impactante escuchar su metal , fluidez y destreza. Una grande. HERMOSO aporte este, que nunca había visto. Y tambien hermosos comentarios acerca de la clase de realeza vocal. I loved her a lot, but she tended to make lots of little mistakes such as wrong notes (start of the coda here), even on recordings. And of course, the guh-guh-guh articulation (not too prevalent in this aria). But it was a beautiful, fresh, soaring sound.
Bellisima voz, ella es una gran soprano, para papeles veristas, inigualable. en una caballeta como esta va mejor en una soprano ligera, que pueda ir en el tiempo correcto. por ejemplo: Sills, Jo, Battle, Sutherland....
