I’m definitely picking up after hours this time around. Also, Pinocchio, eight mountains and the beastie boys videos! I wanted to get Trainspotting too… but that packaging.. ugh!
Nice suggestions! I'm UK based, so dont do the Criterion sales often. But you have convinced me to finally bite the bullet on the Karel Zemam films, released by Second Run in the UK.
Placed my order this evening for these 5 titles: The Roaring Twenties; Cat People; Fail Safe; Night and the City; and A Raisin in the Sun. These purchases wittled down my long wishlist, which, sadly, never seems to get shorter 😅. My purchase points tonight finally qualified me for a $50.00 gift certificate towards my next purchase 😊
I’m proud of you Nathan. You’re doing much better at sticking to the two titles a month than I am. In January I picked up 21 titles and in February it’s 18! 6 of February’s number is the Columbia Classics Vol. 4 box set, so I guess I could count the set as 1. I’m sick, I know. I need to find an AA group for Blu-rays! My future months don’t look much better due to preorders. In March there are Cameron’s 3, plus the re-release of that great looking steelbook of Event Horizon (last time it went out of print before I could make up my mind). In May I’m waiting for my preorder of Walmart’s 4K exclusive limited steelbook release of The Crow. Tell us how you’ve cultivated your new found self control…I need to know! Hopefully I can get it under control before the end of December. ;)
At the point of writing this comment, the flash sale is on and ive already picked up my films from the sale. The picks i bought are: Blue Velvet TP: Fire Walk With Me Do the Right Thing Y Tu Mama Tambien Silence of the Lambs Videodrome The Graduate Andrei Rublev
Great recs! I'm going to try to limit myself to one or two titles this sale. I've really been getting into Guy Maddin's films lately, and want to pick up Brand Upon the Brain. Also on the wishlist is Beauty and the Beast, Summer Hours, Nothing But a Man and the Basil Dearden London Underground Eclipse Series set.
Hey, friend. Great recommendations for the flash sale. These are all essentials for any Criterion collection. Love Umberto D so much. Targets was a nice surprise and a new favorite of mine. I'm thinking I'm only going for thing this round: Fellini set. I've put it off way too long and it's time. Great video as always. My Heart Will Go On.....❤❤❤
Thanks Nathan for the great recommendations. Couldn’t agree more about the Three Fantastic Journeys set. We see where Wes Anderson got his inspirations from. Similar to you I am going after 4 titles only. Blast of Silence and Nothing but a Man to name a few. Cheers.
