The existence of a bug with the ability to warp/jump through space is one terrifying thought. Not only do I feel like it is possible in real life but I also think evolution through billions of years might actually give them the biology to do that. Why wouldn’t it. As it’s just a mother form of spacecraft.

Initiate self destruction. Those things have enough firepower to level a small moon, a big bug should be no problem

I love that the bug ftl jump brought asteroids with it. It shows a sort of organic-ness to it. Its not a perfectly refined and calculated jump, but its accurate and it works and thats all the bug needs.

Somebody at Arrowhead please hire this guy. If not to incorperate these ideas into the game then to make a spin-off series focused on the space combat/ battle side of the conflict. Loving these space vids.

Fighting on your own Super Destroyer and fending off boarding parties of bugs/automatons then going over to Hellbomb their ship to kingdomcome would be an awesome game mode.

Watching them fail to land a single hit at that spacebug was painful.

On second thought, the idea of FTL bugs is horrifying. We have one chilling in orbit of some bug planet at the edge of the galaxy, and then boom, its on Meridia! At least they’re not intelligent enough to use all the guns on the super destroyers they take over, right?! Dumb bugs…

I find the implication of a completely organic creature of that size being able to survive the vacuum of space and move faster than light offensive

How does a creature evolve FTL abilities? What did they put in that termicide?!

It'd be amazing to incorporate this kind of thing into the game as a playable factor. For instance this could involve missions in your ship (space hulk style) to fight off Terminid boarders, eventually culminating in a pitched battle on the hull to shake off the Terminid ship before destroying it with the main guns. The downside being that a 'hugged' ship couldn't provide stratagems until the parasite is removed.

Hello, Super Earth IT here. Here's a common fix for this bug. Open your console and enter: ⬆️➡️⬇️⬇️⬇️ Hope it helps!

This honestly suggests something I think would be absolutely awesome as a random event. An XCOM style ship invasion? Yes please. You extract from a mission, just as an automaton or bug swarm somehow assaults the orbiting destroyers. All helldivers recalled to defend their vessels, SOS goes out. You have access to all weapons and strategems you have unlocked and just have to survive wave after wave of the incursion. You get a limited amount of "lives" (the other frozen helldivers on your ship). If your destroyer is lost, you just get booted from the zone. If too many Helldivers/destroyers are lost, it counts as a campaign loss. If the Helldivers win, possible auto-lib of the planet or global debuff (lower spawn rates or lesser high-tier enemy types, loss of some tech, etc.) for the enemy faction for missions on that planet. Maybe even reveal some kind of Super-Earth Capital ship that warps in to fight/co-op area for Helldivers to fight in.

I dread the day the Terminids evolve to do FTL jumps. May Super Earth have mercy on our souls.

Terminids are basically the helldivers version of Tyrinids from Warhammer 40k.

Although this is epic and Martechi has been killing it, i doubt Arrowhead will ever show the bugs moving through space because Canonically, Super Earth high command have put them on all those planets to justify bug genocide for E-710.

When I think 'bug ships', I usually think something like a water scorpion in space, with big grabby claws to grab, crush, or tear open ships; or some giant, solar-sailing mosquito-looking thing that injects acid and/or smaller bugs into the hull of a ship after lancing into it (though that might be the small ones there). I didn't expect precision warp facehuggers. I especially like that it took some of the asteroids with it.

That would be absolutely terrifying, I love it!
