Useful explanation, but when will we ever use this? The Australian curriculum makes me shake my head.

Respectfully Flynn, this might actually be one of the most useful bits of maths you'll ever come across. Any kind of manufacturing process uses this. From building an iPhone to a chef working in a restaurant.
