Here's a summation of this presentation: "Your job is not to win. Your job is to do what's right and be faithful, then leave the results to God" -Frank Turek
Doing that do get a good feeling thou. Like finishing a day's hard exhausting work and because of that earned some rest, you are not lazy, you are not procrastinating. Rewards feels hollow when unearned.
Why should the Christian care about Critical Race Theory? Is it as harmful to the faith as the politicians say it is to education, society, and human relations? It’s a good question, and without spending lots of time researching the issue, most will just move on with their lives, caring little about its impact on the Kingdom of God. I had one such individual come to me and ask me to narrow down my biggest complaint with CRT. Here’s what I told him: Critical Race Theory is antithetical to the Gospel mainly because it is not redemptive. To put it another way, there is no forgiveness in CRT. Whereas the Gospel heralds forgiveness as its core centerpiece, CRT is an open-ended analysis of guilt, shame, and blame; never allowing the offender or the offended an opportunity to assuage any wrong. Further, the Gospel has a goal. CRT does not. The end goal of the Gospel is redemption - justification before God and peace with fellow man. The end goal of CRT is undefined - never able to bridge the gap of hate, injustice, or sin. Instead, CRT offers its adherents a cyclical pattern of pain, vengeance, and oppression. Lastly, the Gospel has good fruit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control - against such, there is no law. CRT bears fruit of bitterness, guilt, blame, animosity, and division - against such, there are an abundance of laws. So, choose for yourself how you will see CRT, especially in light of the glory of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For the Christian, the Gospel is sufficient to address the problem of sin. It does not need analytical tools to help it. At a minimum, remember what's been said here. If you know nothing else about CRT, knowing that it is not redemptive is sufficient for the Christian to reject it wholly.
Frank said in this vid that W W 2 was being fought in Dec 1945 n later ended Sep 1945. This is almost as bad as him saying "Hinduism" as he calls it, is atheistic n thus not worth him studying it, then saying they have BILLIONS of Gods....then later saying they want a piece of Jesus, even though the 5 Vedas taught of Jesus (n warned against the birth based caste system, the 7 Deadly sins, the limitations of atheism, etc.) way before Christianity, n are the source of all the major religions n sciences.
Long form videos tie issues together nicely rather that short excerpts. The short ones are needed to get individual points out, and the long videos are needed to fully engage the audience.
CTR can not be summed up in an hour. It is about laws and policy of the United States. Segregation of housing, schools and churches all institutions in the nation. Parks, grocery stores everything in life. Even today Flint, Michigan’s water was poisoned because of policy. The church can solve some of it if we really take Jesus literally and love our neighbors.
A true brother in the faith. Glad he went into the brief historcal overview before tackling the balancing of the issue rationally as many people who dismiss the history do so and then treat it as if it was "OH so long ago" When many of their recent ancestors were at hanging rallies in the pictures, this is a very recent history... Ignoring it as if it does not affect negatively our society in all ethnic groups to some degree is doing nothing but putting it back into obscurity where people can potentially cause issues again, but giving it more power than the SOLUTIONS is ALSO just as bad and unproductive as many pro black people often do. Dont dismiss the issue as if its non existent and not worth still fixing, it is not sufficiently fixed though it is a lot better now, and dont make it your entire identity as it only breeds resentment and more racism.
This was an excellent talk. I believe the young lady had the most salient question. How do you fix the problem? There are biases, racist acts and vestiges of racism which still effect certain groups. We can criticize CRT all we want but when there is a vacuum Satan will fill it. WE NEED SOLUTIONS AND TO SHOW WE ACTUALLY CARE. It comes across sometimes that we care more about the feeling of guilt in our children than solving the underlying problem.
Unfortunately racism is an individual problem. These idiots want people to believe it's a national problem. The only person that can fix the problem is the one with the problem. If their heart doesn't change there's no solution until they die.
@@realreeledmitchelljr2101 well I still think it's both an individual and a national issue.. Now there's some nuance as to what should and shouldn't be taken down and honestly I'm somewhat conservative on that front. Like Voter ID laws are probably somewhat racist maybe?, but nowhere near the literary tests they had people do, which arent technically based on race, but they were still clearly racist. But it has nothing to do with the color of someone's skin! It's just ... Racist, because less black people could read because of segregation and whatnot. Voter ID laws I think are definitely a nuance and stuff and I'd tend to want to keep them. But yeah It's just stuff like that and (the more clearly) racist statues that probably should be taken down or at least thought about... Well, critically.
@@chuckharkes6569 some people say they were made to specifically target minority groups to stop them from voting, similar (though less obviously so) to literacy tests. Of course, there is a legitimate case to be made that these were made, and are used, to stop voter fraud. ... And that's really just a big matter of debate as to what extent each is true, and what we should do about it.
"There are only two races: the race of decent people and the race of indecent people. Precisely because we know that the decent are in the minority, each individual is called upon to strengthen and support this minority." -Viktor Frankl
Ok I like Turek, I've listened to many of his videos on Cross Examined. Hell I even bought one of his books (I don't have enough faith to be an atheist). And listening to this as a black man frustrated. It frustrated me because of how much he is either incorrectly interpreting quotes (such as his quote from Patricia Collins) and even his points on what critical Race theory is. It's mainly only utilized in law for the sole purpose of revealing how black people are punished far worse and more than their white counterparts, which is a statistically proven fact. Heck even his phrasing of CRT points makes it seem like it's an understating not based on any kind of reasoning. Thomas So we'll wouldn't even agree with his use of his quote🤦🏿♂️. I don't understand how it's hard for white people to understand what black people are saying, I'm not even trying to say understand our experiences, just understand our words. I really sat here listening to a white man try to explain CRT when with a quick Google search all of these misunderstandings can be erased. It really sucks to hear a dude who made so many other great points on the bible fumble on a topic that imo he had no reason to even discuss.
That was a pretty poor presentation. I'm new to Turek, so I can't comment on his other works. It was disappointing for me to hear and disappointing to see all the positive comments. Didn't explain CRT at all. Didn't give examples about what it is (at least to satisfy me). Very frustrating. Get folks worked up with little actual applicable content. He didn't have a lot of time here, I will grant.
Dr. Turek’s presentation was very disappointing for so many reasons. What’s worse is that he is leading people astray on a topic he clearly doesn’t understand. It almost feels like willful ignorance to me.
SAME. I’m BLACK and CHRISTIAN. According to atheists and liberals (which are usually atheists) I’m oppressing myself! But this has been the best type of “oppression” ever!!
@@lbj2642 I know. But, when you are faking bible prophecy and pretending that the false chosen are a race, that just happens to match the color of the presenter “Dr Frank Turek”, you can pretend to be fighting racism, while secretly supporting it via Europe and Western nations, who are still colonizing using MODIFIED Bibles, hoping no one notices. God says a Jew is spiritual by conversion vis Faith-the gospel preached into Abraham. Instead, these guys have made it about the flesh and blood and skin, and worldly gain, clearly supported by the US and British. See how they replace the “Holy Generation” with “Holy Race”…it doesn’t say “races”, but race. So beware of the liberal. They can rule behind the scenes or just grow their beard out and claim they are not white, despite the fact that Netanyahu is lighter than Trump. The chosen generation are all those who are REGENERATED-ie converted/born again as spiritual Jews (one Lord, One faith-not 3 abrahamic faiths lie). Deuteronomy 14:2 (KJV) For thou [art] an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a 👉🏾peculiar people unto himself, 🔥above all the nations🔥 that [are] upon the earth👈🏾. And Frank Turek is a fool and deceiver. If you ask Frank, “who are the fake Jews?”, they play dumb or give you some mumbo jumbo convoluted answer. Jesus said my sheep never perish (all flesh perished) because they are spiritual and have believed the gospel. Philippians 3:3 (KJV) For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Revelation 3:9 (KJV) Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which 🔥say they are Jews, and are not🔥, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. This is why God put twins (Jacob and Esau) in the Bible, to point out it has nothing to do with flesh and blood, but FAITH.
When Dinesh D'Souza made his film "Death of a Nation" a while ago, he said that during the Nazi Regime in WW2, the Nazis had a hard time finding out which Jews in their own country they were going to eradicate because there were White Germans born to Jewish parents (thereby making them part Jewish) and they didn't want to kill them, so they decided to not go before 3rd generation Germans, though even that is a fallacy Biblically since we all come from Adam and Eve. The same thing applies to people pushing critical race theory in America and the rest of the west today, especially since America has more biracial couples than at any point in our history (since the 1960's); if someone looks white but has a black/hispanic father or black/hispanic mother, is the white-looking person part of the "oppressed" group? Or, if someone looks black/hispanic but has a white mother or white father (Barack Obama's mother was white) is the black/hispanic-looking person part of the "oppressing" group? If you want to draw a dividing line on racism in America, you shouldn't divide it by skin color of individuals, you should divide it by political party affiliation; if you're part of the democratic party then you're part of the political party that defended slavery, started the civil war, opposed the civil war amendments to the constitution, founded the Ku Klux Klan and Jim Crow Laws, fought against the civil rights acts of the 1950's and 1960's, and created the welfare state in recent decades to keep blacks dependent on the government for their votes. If you're part of the republican party then you're part of the party that opposed slavery, won the civil war, passed the civil war amendments, fought for equal rights for blacks, and fought for personal responsibility and self-independence for blacks.
It doesn't matter which party because they have BOTH been racist towards blacks. Regarding racism: Democrats more so back in the day, but still now also and Republicans are more racist today.
If anyone else is interested in this subject, Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers is also an excellent speaker on how uniting through Christ can help look and move past racism.
It's interesting Dr. Turek. I heard you say here that Christianity is becoming less popular, but that doesn't make it any less true. But I've also heard you claim that because Christianity is so popular that helps verify it's truth? I've always wondered about that claim, but now that I hear you arguing from the opposite side as well I realize what a weak argument it really is. I mean there are better arguments to be made than the argument from popularity isn't there? I always wondered if Islam became the most popular religion if that would make it more true somehow. I know of course it wouldn't, but I've heard you make this case before for Christianity. It kind of makes me question some things I've heard you say frankly. No offense intended, but it really just jumped out at me. It's hard to see how you can have it both ways.
When he says less “popular” he is also largely referring to how it is viewed by Non-Christians, or in other words, its reputation from an outside perspective.
@@user-jf1gi6sq4h Well and the fact that the pews (including in Turek's neck of the woods) are emptying, because they can tell there is no Christ in this religious/Pharisee-like contemplation, whilst ignoring Christ's warning to the Pharisee. But yeah, the Christ of the Bible didn't talk about the oppressed as needing our help, He spoke about them being whiny crybabies that don't find the current Church being very Christlike...oops, did I say something controversial (but completely based in fact?)
Can you show me an example where Turek said that? I have listened to a number of his lectures and never heard him say that. If he did, that would seem very wrong indeed.
brilliant video Mr. Turek A Bible share From Genesis 1:27 God created us We are all from Adam and Eve. Galatians 3: 23 Before the coming of this faith, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed. 24 So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. 25 Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian. 26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith,27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. God's Justice is perfect A New Heaven and a New Earth 21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth," for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” 5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” 6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without costfrom the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars-they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” The New Jerusalem, the Bride of the Lamb 9 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. 11 It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. 12 It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. 13 There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west. 14 The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostlesof the Lamb.
I agree with most but you didn’t recognize what you did on minute 57.00 on your TV screen…is that supposed to be Jesus ?!? it’s the little foxes that spoil the vine. I am really struggling with this issue I am a believer in Christ and I am studying Sociology as one of my majors my professors are teaching CRT but I love Jesus and will do anything God calls me to do but I'm clueless what to do in this situation? Do I leave this study or do I stay and try to be Christ's light in my school? No matter what Major I change to, this is being taught in colleges and universities in every study or field now.... I am almost graduating and I really just want to transfer to A Christian University I'm tired of indoctrinations. Please pray that God will provide for a Christian University.... Thank you brothers and sisters. I need direction 🙏
I studied at University too and did a social science degree. You are right about sociology, it's just indoctrination. I use to think you went to university to seek truth and was very disappointed, but I wasn't surprised.
I think Frank misunderstands the point. It’s not judging people based on their skin color, but their group identity. Black in the US is an ethnicity based on a historical background. There’re lot of people around the world who have black skin and don’t belong to “blackness”. The same way nobody would say killing Italians is Holocaust, even though they are the closest genetically to Jews. When they say that the Holocaust happened, they mean a specific group was targeted. Not people of a genetic lineage. The Jews of antiquity simply didn’t categorize people based on skin color, but by keeping the Mosaic Law. There were people of all skin colors in Judea and Rome in general. Skin color became an identity when the trans-Atlantic slave trade was established. People in Africa didn’t see themselves in skin color. There’re many shades of skin in West Africa itself. The very concept of blackness is a racist invention.
There is however racism recorded in the Old Testament... Numbers 12:1 While they were at Hazeroth, Miriam and Aaron criticized Moses because he had married a Cushite woman. However, Yahweh didn't like what Aaron and Miriam did, and the succeeding verses told the story of their punishment
@@johannesalexandrius5749 it was “racism” in the sense we use today. Prejudice against an ethnicity. But the Israelites didn’t categorize nations based on skin color.

Anytime a person of color even hints at a racial issue and starts to speak on it people lump it under some term like “CRT” and then dismiss it. (If it’s CRT its problematic and therefore we don’t have to listen) My hope and prayer is that people would listen first and then respond. Not every racial issue is CRT, or social justice.

I agree. We should listen first. I think we can talk about racism without CRT. What I don’t agree with is elevating someone’s experience over another or requesting for people to take responsibility for a system or other’s sins. CRT is not asking for us to simply listen and hear them. CRT demands actions.

Interesting to hear Turek both mischaracterize the meaning of the Hebrew עבד (slave, same word used in describing the Israelites in Egypt in a "house of slavery" - בות עבדים) and attempt to describe/criticize CRT without talking about its fundamental nature as a societal critique founded by legal theorists nor once mentioning the writings of Derrick Bell.

Jesus means Hail Zeus. Christ and HaMashiach mean The Annointed, which means the King. Now Yeshua in English means Salvation. The only salvation is HaMashiach Yeshua. Or in English The Annointed Salvation. Your lord was called that because that is his name.
@@qodeshymchurchwell1851 What official sources did you get the information that Jesus means Hail Zeus? There is a widespread claim on the internet that the name Jesus literally means “Hail Zeus.” This claim is frequently promoted by Mythicists-people who believe that there was no historical Jesus and that Jesus was invented based on earlier pagan deities. By linking Jesus’s name to Zeus’s, they hope to “prove” that Jesus is a made-up character based on Zeus. Mythicists have apparently based this particular claim about the supposed etymology of Jesus’s name solely on the phonetic similarity between the name Jesus and the name Zeus in English. Unfortunately for the people out there on the internet, names that sound similar in English are not necessarily etymologically related to each and, in the case of the names Zeus and Jesus, there is simply no etymological relationship whatsoever.
@@qodeshymchurchwell1851 Please respond to Horace? All these different languages & spellings all mean the same. If you prefer to use the Messiah's Hebrew name, than go ahead, but don't go forcing your preferences onto others. I warn you that you are causing more harm than good by spreading this nonsense, "But take care that this right of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak." It was actually embarrassing to watch him reference “such and such” who referenced “such and such” in his book about the dangers of CRT for Christians because he “knows a lot about the subject” to validate the empty points he was trying to make. 🥴 Come on man, be serious! 😂 Odell seemed to be the only one who actually tried to call him out on this flawed logic and he still didn’t seem to get it!
@Armystrongbabe18 what specific issues did you have with the argument? I know you're not a fan of his secondhand research which is fair, but I'd like to get your thoughts on his evidence and conclusion
Why would he? Who is actually promoting white nationalism? I mean, CRT is taught in schools and discussed openly on national television, white nationalism is not and is also being condemned by both the left and the right constantly. And notice that this lecture defined the christian position as judging people on their character and not their skin color, so that is itself a refutation of white nationalism.
acknowledging white nationalist doesn't fit their narrative. its like them admitting the Southern Baptist Convention was formed by pastors who believed in owning slaves.. won't happen

I don't think he did a good job tackling the race issue, I don't think he did a good job actually explaining what CRT is, or give points from both sides. And it sounded like he was speaking to a majority white also right leaning crowd. So very little push back on some of the questions. Anywho. I hope to see him talk about this more, hopefully with some varying perspective as a way to fully explain this... better. And I say all this with love. Read the Bible, read all of it, read it yourself. Best advice for young people. Went to church, believed in GOD all my life. I read the Bible all the way through at 52 and it changed my life. I got to know GOD and I learned alot about myself.
I actually don’t think a person can truly call themselves a Christian without reading the bible in full … if you’re just relying on sermons from other people you’re not doing the work you need to do on a personal level.
Wasted 38 years believing it as the default. Then I started to read it and not have a default of "god exists, god is good, can't lie, etc." And now.....I'm an atheist with the most clarity I've ever thought possible.
@@watchandjewelryloft4713 You have been led astray from the truth. Evidence for Jesus Christ’s existence, crucifixion, and disappearance from the grave (He rose from it): The Lord Jesus Christ did exist, gathered disciples, and was crucified and went missing from the grave. To argue about wether He was taken from the grave or rose from it, is an argument a skeptic can make. Because well if you disregard the eye witness testimony of the disciples and there willingness to die for Christ, and humans won’t die for something they know is a lie, when Peter is pinned upside down to that cross, he could have said that it was a fake, but He didn’t because it wasn’t, what care would he have about death in this world if he knew for a fact he had assurance of a life in another, Jesus Christ did rise from the grave and is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Now the evidence for the Lord Jesus Christ’s existence really isn’t hard to find a multitude of non-Christian scholars and historians mention Him within 150 years after the time of His life. One such is Tacitus a Roman historian who reported on emperor nero’s decision to blame the Christians for the fire that had destroyed rome in 64 AD. Tacitus wrote: “Nero fastened the guilt ... on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of ... Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judaea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome…” In this Tacitus makes reference to not only Christians, but Christ calling Him Christus and confirming the Gospels going on to say that He suffered the extreme penalty (crucifixion) under the reign of Tiberius and by the sentence of Pontius Pilate, which like I said confirms the Gospels narrative. Another important source of evidence about Jesus and early Christianity can be found in the letters of Pliny the Younger to Emperor Trajan. Pliny was the Roman governor of Bithynia in Asia Minor. In one of his letters, dated around A.D. 112, he asks Trajan's advice about the appropriate way to conduct legal proceedings against those accused of being Christians. Pliny says that he needed to consult the emperor about this issue because a great multitude of every age, class, and sex stood accused of Christianity. At one point in his letter, Pliny relates some of the information he has learned about these Christians: “They were in the habit of meeting on a certain fixed day before it was light, when they sang in alternate verses a hymn to Christ, as to a god, and bound themselves by a solemn oath, not to any wicked deeds, but never to commit any fraud, theft or adultery, never to falsify their word, nor deny a trust when they should be called upon to deliver it up; after which it was their custom to separate, and then reassemble to partake of food - but food of an ordinary and innocent kind.” This passage provides a number of interesting insights into the beliefs and practices of early Christians. First, we see that Christians regularly met on a certain fixed day for worship. Second, their worship was directed to Christ, demonstrating that they firmly believed in His divinity. Furthermore, one scholar interprets Pliny's statement that hymns were sung to Christ, "as to a god", as a reference to the rather distinctive fact that, "unlike other gods who were worshipped, Christ was a person who had lived on earth." If this interpretation is correct, Pliny understood that Christians were worshipping an actual historical person as God! Of course, this agrees perfectly with the New Testament doctrine that Jesus was both God and man. You may have heard of the scholar Flavius Josephus who mentioned James as being the brother of the Lord Jesus Christ, which matches what Paul said calling James “The Lord’s brother” and there is another document that Josephus may have written which goes: “About this time there lived Jesus, a wise man, if indeed one ought to call him a man. For he ... wrought surprising feats.... He was the Christ. When Pilate ...condemned him to be crucified, those who had . . . come to love him did not give up their affection for him. On the third day he appeared ... restored to life.... And the tribe of Christians ... has ... not disappeared.” Now it’s up to debate wether this is the entirely original document of what Josephus wrote, or if a Christian had edited it. But regardless he wrote about the Lord Jesus Christ. Wether it was negative or positive like the possible document is. Anyways there are many other statements, documents, letters, and writings of all sorts from the ancient world talking about the Lord Jesus Christ and there is not one question if He was a real person or if He was crucified and went missing from the grave. That is clear as day, He is a real person, was crucified, and went missing from the grave. And He did rise from the grave. And for more evidence of the Lord Jesus Christ, there’s the Bible and you see there is no evidence the Bible is corrupted, a lie, created by the Roman government, folktale. It is the recount of the Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, now wether you want to believe it is up to you. And what profit was there in spreading Christianity, All the early Christian suffered persecution, beatings, and were killed. Another Scholar reported that James the Lord’s Brother was thrown off a building and then stoned to death for spreading the Gospel in Jerusalem. These people went to great lengths even giving their own lives for the Lord Jesus Christ
I think the characterization of CRT in the first 45 minutes of the talk is misinformed. Trying to tie it into some larger critical theory paradigm and bringing in intersectionality etc., negates its origin at Harvard as a deliberate initiative apart from all these other social issues. Look for the talks of Kimberle Williams Crenshaw and others to understand the origins of CRT and what it means. Setting up a straw man and then knocking it down doesn't advance the conversation.
That's kind of the point of the criticism of teaching aspects of crt in schools. Certain aspects have to be taught things like red lining, differences in sentencing based on race and a ton of other institutional racist policies. But it's better to not teach about it and ignore it and some Christians are picking up on it.
@@DavidJohnson-dp4vv I'm not sure I understand the last part of your reply: "But it's better to not teach about it and ignore it and some Christians are picking up on it." Can you say a little more to clarify please? Thanks.

Christ warns us not to cast judgment on anyone. But I think the word “judge” in this sentence “don’t judge a person by their skin color but judge based on the content of their character” is more about forming an opinion about a person based on their actions rather than their shade of skin. I’m not sure it’s much different, although casting judgement in Christ’s term is saying what you believe they deserve based on their character and actions, but in the MLK Jr sense it’s more about forming an idea about what kind of person they are. Both senses of “judgement” are biblical. Treat a person based on their actions alone, don’t judge based on shade. Two senses of judgement, same idea.
I get what you are saying, but aren't I called to love my enemies? That would certainly not be my wishes as I would want to treat them according to their actions alone as you have said - but, I'm called to love them instead. I think we misread that Christ tells us not to judge - instead it's my understanding that we are supposed to judge - however we are called to understand that we too will be judged and that we can't go around ignoring the planks in our own eyes while pointing out the specks in other peoples' eyes.
Is there a document on the idea or what CRT is? It would be good to have those documents shown to see where information for CRT is coming from. If not it's our own interpretation of what CRT is without seeing what it's based off.
It's Karl Marx's critical theory seen thru the lens of racism. Read the "Communist Manifesto" or "Das Kapital" if you REALLY want to know what it is based upon. Do not listen to these fake "youtube marxists" ....they will literally tell you anything just to win an argument because they think they have the moral high ground.
This isn't even what CRT is🤦🏿♂️. Tired of white people doing this. CRT was created originally for the express purpose of highlighting the fact of black people being punished for crimes far worse and longer than their white counterparts that commit the exact same crimes. This is a statistically proven fact. Currently CRT has been demonstrated in school of simply explaining the history of America's past and actually including the ugly instead of sugar coating it or outright not teaching it. And for some reason it's look at as a bad thing by white people only. A simply Google search on CRT and it's original would eliminate all confusion. Like once you actually learn about what CRT is and how it's being utilized everything in this video makes absolutely zero sense. The only way it makes sense is if you are ignorant of what CRT is and don't actually look into the matter personally.

Really Frank's delivery is pretty polished (at least in New Jersey terms) mostly because it is REHEARSED A LOT but not because the ideas are that well thought out. He is used to expounding them to people who obviously are not beset by original ideas of their own. Maybe Frank's great gift and talent is an enormous ego and an ability to make it not that evident to those devoid of an ability to critically evaluate his message about god. I kind of disagree with Dr. Turek's answer to the last question by the young asian man. I worked some with Hmong in a personal ministry. Their pastor got his doctorate degree after many years and they were having a service to honor Christ and him in this accomplishment. They invited me to attend this service so I did. When I first got there I was standing in the back looking for someone I knew and a gentleman approached me to ask if I was in the right place. I told him I thought so because I was there to celebrate the accomplishment of the pastor. He immediately went out of his way to make me feel welcome and at home. The service was done mostly in the Hmong language with just a few english words thrown in. There was enough english words and references to the Bible that I could sort of follow along. Afterwards I talked to the pastor and the youth pastor and told him he didn't have to use the english because I was there. He told me he didn't; he used it because the youth weren't all fluent in Hmong so it helped them. We then ate. It was a wonderful experience of Christian fellowship. I was pretty much mobbed by everyone welcoming me and introducing me to everyone. Good Christians are Good Christians in any language and we miss out when we don't experience that because of language barriers.
I volunteered at Hamilton Air Force Base when they started flying the Vietnamese boat refugees over. Most of them were Hmong. I was struck by how small they were, and of course they knew no English then. I worked in the kids art room, and remember some of the violent pics they drew regarding what they had seen during the war. It was both sad, and humbling.
11:29: It is not acknowledged that white people were also enslaved because it's not convenient for the arguments... Therefore, if I'm a rational person (and I think I am), the ONLY rational conclusion I can come to is that, while PEOPLE did invent slavery PEOPLE didn't originally come up with the idea for it. Oh, don't get me wrong!!! I'm not alleviating humans of accountability!!! I'm simply saying that if we would stop looking at this HUMAN group and that HUMAN group and the HUMAN group over there as our enemies and would rather open our Jesus eyes and see our TRUE, COMMON enemy, then half of our conflicts might actually cease and desist...
Well, I do think people are the ones who thought up slavery. Yes, slavery was a worldwide economic system. The elites of a culture often enslaved their poor in one way or another, or traded them off. I am quite glad we have made a lot of progress over the last couple hundred years. Improving things is always a need in the world.
Nope please do not be THAT black guy. Please tell me how any group of white people were stolen, sold, and killed in their own land, brought against their will to a foreign location, separated from their family, culture, and way of life to be enslaved for hundreds of years and even to this day are marginalized and treated as second class citizens at best? I promise you don't have any example. So please don't try and create some sympathy for how a few white people had a rough for a short time. Black people literally do not have any place to call out own (hell even natives were by some miracle were able to retain a fraction of their land🤦🏿♂️). So please stop with this argument it does not help us stop white people from having an excuse for being ignorant about black lives and history.
26:30 "you're saved by you're faith by grace, you're JUDGED according your works" I pointed this out to some members of Jeff Durbins church Christian Apologia a couple years ago. They looked at me so confused. So I showed them the end of revelations that said the dead were judged by their works.
But our works that are judged are judged during the judgement seat of Christ. Not the great white throne judgement. Works don't determine our salvation or whether or not we get into heaven.
Do you not understand, if you reject Christ, you will ultimately have to rely on your works to save you, and Christ did what He did, because saved by works is impossible for a fallen humanity.

I think one of the major issues we all run into nowadays is a lack of nuance as well. One example is the idea of "color-blindness" that was pushed in the '90s and early 2000s. While the intent was good, it made it too easy for people to ignore the truth of what happened to different groups in the States, and the world at large, because the was such an emphasis on ignoring color. A more nuanced approach would have been to do you absolute best to treat everyone with the same level of respect and simultaneously keep in mind that everyone's *lived experience* is different; you cannot throw out what someone else says just because what you've experience is different.
True, but at the same time many proponents of CRT will throw out "lived experience" to avoid people asking questions, and for factual evidence of certain claims. In that sense it can be tricky.
@@serpentines6356 that is also true. As I said above, everything has nuances. We need to hold fast to the truth of God’s word and understand that people have their own perception of everything. Do your best to adhere to the Truth, in love, because the people you’re speaking with were created in God’s image and just as fallen as we are. When you disagree with someone, accept that their world view is different and try your best to understand why. Here is the experience that she passed down, her enslaver laughed at her condition and said these words “ I gets me a free n____. “ She said no matter where the white man comes from or how money he has, he always feels he’s better than colored people. My experience in the sixth grade I attended an integrated school and sat between to white girls who whispered to me everyday “ you’re a little n______. I told no one not even my parents. I felt it would not do any good. We cannot deny people their experiences because we don’t want to remedy or change . Now in the state of Florida the education department has said Advanced Placement classes that teach African American History are not relevant to teach. That slavery benefited the slaves because it gave them job skills. If my great grandparents were free they still would have farmed and did animal husbandry and my great grandmother would still have been a seamstress and know how to make and sell butter and make and sell brooms.

Racism is the most protected and defended sin in Christianity today. Furthermore, while blacks fought (and I do mean a literal fight) for civil rights they experienced dogs and firehoses, lynchings, and riots. The Christian outcry concerning "reverse racism" is for our hurt feelings and discomfort when they demand justice. We conveniently forget this is a RESPONSE to what they have gone through.
Dr Turek I strongly disagree. There IS certain "behaviors" associated with ethnicities!!! Living among a diverse country like the U.S. and then living among other countries I MOST CERTAINLY see that being born in the U.S. DOESN'T make you a westerner. Just like a white person being born in China doesn't make that person behave like an eastern oriental person.
Based on your post, I believe you are someone who values logic and critical thinking. You are almost correct. Where you are born doesn’t give you a culture, it does give you ethnicity. Cultures and ethnicities are not the same thing although they are linked. Behaviors are associated with cultures and mores. People in a national or regional group (ethnicity) fashion a set of beliefs and traditions (culture and mores). Behaviors are the actions born from culture and are associated with ethnicities only to the extent that those are the behaviors the adults choose to act out and teach to the children. This means no behaviors people choose to act out are the result of their ethnicity. They are a result of the culture that the previous generation in that ethnicity chose to build or the result of the choice to break from that culture in some form. You can choose to change the culture you follow and therefore the behaviors resulting from it. It is an easy mistake to make because definitions, origins and hierarchies have been diluted to the point that it creates confusion.
Equality comes from God. Where else would it come from? Opinions? Feelings? Or better yet the government. Racism is in the heart of man, you have to change the heart not the culture
One of the best things a parent can do for their children is get them out of Big Brother's hands. Now more than ever. In fact building a castle with a piranha infested moat and drawbridge couldn't hurt either.
I disagree with Ben Shapiro on America being one of the least racist countries in the world. I travel to other countries and you can call people by the color of their skin or the size of their bodies and no one blinks an eye. In the USA, people get offended and you get labeled racist. Other than that, his explanation of intersectionality was well done.
Ben Shapiro's take is typically narrow minded, since he comes from a conservative mindest anyway, which from the outset id biased. All the demographics he highlighted were set in stone by white men anyway. If it wasn't for the endemic white supremacy knitted throughout US institutions there wouldn't be racial classifications in the first place. Native Americans, Africans(not blacks), then the Irish, Italians and mysteriously, the Polish, were all labelled and positioned on the society totem pole, not quite as white as the WASPS. So his snide, snotty approach is not that clever..
I have a major problem with one thing: I've never heard my pastor talk about race, ever, and there's no racial messaging anywhere in the documentation and imagery around the church. Yet, the congregation is composed of many different groups, everyone gets along, and no one ever finds the need to bring up skin color. It's probably majority white, but so is the country, why is that a bad thing? Our congregation well represents the ethinic makeup of the area as a whole, which means our church appeals to all groups equally, and all without ever mentioning skin color. I would not attend the church Frank was talking about, because I believe hiring a preacher based on skin color IS racist, and frankly if people refuse to attend a service with a pastor of a different color than them, isn't that an indication that they themselves have the racism problem? Why would we cater to that? What we should be doing is treating everyone equally and preaching the gospel, not appealing to racists. Honestly, what's so hard about that?

THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GROUP AND INDIVIDUALS. CRT TALKS ABOUT GROUPS, NOT INDIVIDUALS. NOT EVERY STATEMENT THAT IS TRUE FOR THE GROUP APPLIES TO THE INDIVIDUA AND VISE VERSA. THAT DOES NOT NEGATES GROUP ACTIVITIES. AND MAKING SUCH CLAIMS ARE STRAWMAN TO THE REAL ISSUE.
This came off unsenstive as a 28 year old black women... We are all trying to be like Jesus everyday. It is not a request to be apart of groups. But there are truth that must be faced. Things that aren't softened with comedic relief. I agree I will never know what it is like to be a white woman. I did grow up and still live in a small town with a handful of people of color. My sister dearest friend had to grow to understand things I stress about she will never have to consider. She is my sister her mom is mine. When I might share a story it might sadden her that another person make me feel worthless. I think that level of empathy is important. Like you said alot of things won't cross your mind or matter until it is personal.
I'm a black man In my 40s, and I don't think this was insensitive at all, rather it brings to light the socialist marxist ideology perpetrated by the leftists who could care less about equality. Realize that equity and equality are two separate things, and those pushing CRT could care less about equality. After all, equity would make a white gaye "tranz" biological male entitled to more rights than you assuming you're a "cisgendered" (hetero) female. And equity would also give this individual access to your locker room. Equity also places this person on your sports team, locking you out of opportunities for recognition and growth. Read Voddie Baucham's new book called "It's not like being black", and I believe you will fond it enlightening.
If laws touching all areas of life are favouring the well to do means the competition to success looks like playing uphill , against the wind and sun in your eyes . Kind of hard to score !?
the meaning of "Oppressed groups must be liberated" is just as good as "Helping the poor, unborn and needy" as a lot of needy people in some countries are oppressed
