I don't even know how to describe the way Travis is crying for help, like in terms of accent, personality or whatever, but it is pure unbridled hilarity!
@@deathbykonami5487 They do though. Everyone has it and can use it as an action. It's just that rogues can do it as a Cunning Action. But let's be frank - this was so much better
My party did the exact same thing a few months ago. Only difference they did it to a scared NPC who was running in terror from them. When it kept fleeing they blinded it. The bugbear who never bathed and has a backstory established stench tried to pick it up. Blind the tortoise lashed out at the strongest smelling thing in proximity. Almost tore off the bugbears junk
A lot of people complaining that Fjord could have used disengage or dodge... or he could have done this instead and blessed us with this comedy gold x3
See, this sort of shit is why my character leads with small, cute, fuzzy creatures when Polymorphing enemies. Giant turtles... kittens and otters, that's where the smart play is!
Double edged sword with that one. If you polymorph them into something small like that, it means there are fewer hit points. If it decides to attack, and anyone has something that deals auto-damage (like Fjord's Armor of Agathys in the clip), then the polymorph can come to a very swift end. I generally try to pick things that have plenty of HP, but deal less damage than the creature being polymorphed.
It was an undead giant that was polymorphed into a turtle. Since he was wearing armor that did damage, he was afraid the armor was going to kill the polymorph and the undead giant was going to come back.
@@blackdragoness21 he was frightened of the undead giant due to a failed saving throw earlier in combat and the fear condition remained even as the turtle
Although a funny moment, kind of dickish of Matt to not clarify their choice. If the spell was happening in real life Caleb would have summoned the turtle he was thinking of not some creature choosen dur to search limitations
honestly, the giant and the dybak would probably have been less dangerous, they could all at least attack it instead of worrying about turning the turtle back to into the undead giant. but then we wouldn't have had this scene
