Living with chronic pain is no joke...I want to thank Talis in bringing that out to light...There are many reasons for it...most of the people near you may not know it. It is also so misunderstood. Sometimes even Doctors can do little about it beside push pills in you...and that could be worse then the pain.
I absolutely agree, as someone in the throes of dealing with recurring back pain, the way he described the pain as a background buzz that you're not fully aware of until it hits again almost made me cry. It feels so nice to have your experiences acknowledged by someone else, even if they don't realise it I also sympathise with you on that, I'll be thinking of you across the internet :)
Absolutely. I dealt with chronic migraines before finding out I needed brain surgery and ever since I had it, I've had a base level of pain between 2-5 nonstop every single day. I'm allergic to almost all pain meds, I've tried physical therapy, it's just not a happy fun time anymore and it means so much to see Taliesin acknowledge how hard that is through Ashton.
@@evalynn1863 100 percent with you im am 16 i have had feet pain and hammed head toes all my life doctors would say im not in enougth pain for years because i had no caliouses on my toes ans that the only way to fix it was compilcated sugery( not true) and im finally heard and getting sugery for it soon but docotors will do nothing because my disability is invisable but everyday of my lfie walking standing and running i had 6-8 scale pain
*@firefox3187 --* Ashley has always had a mischievous streak, even as Pike Trickfoot (CR Campaign #1) and Yasha Nydoorin (CR Campaign #2). Playing Fearne Calloway (CR Campaign #3) has simply made it more open and prevalent. *;)*
Just saying, Ludinus tried to kidnap Fearne, Otohan was said that she was the one "he" talked about. She's been hidden her whole life, rudisborne from the fey realm. She may be more of the key than Imogen me thinks...
My theory is that Ludinus is going to try and absorb Fearne with the vest/vest-adjacent equipment. That would be extremely evil and devious of Matt which is why I think it makes it even more true. This would be extremely terrible because 1-Fearne would be dead and gone forever; 2-she is Ruidusborn, maybe that would transfer the Ruidusborn powers to Ludinus given that he is not one; 3-Fearne also has the Shard of Rau’Shan which would most definitely transfer its powers over to Ludinus.
@@BeesAreGroovy Very interesting theory. Because one would think he would of tried to become one knowing the power they receive. My thoughts are more like using ferne like a lense to the feywild. Also would love to see Grog involved as hired muscle for the wrong side cause he's just that much of an idiot
@@philipdavenport3403My understanding of the vest is that you are only able to fully absorb creatures with innate magic essence in their being, like fey creatures and even the Ruidians, and at the very least Ludinus has only been known to absorb fey creatures like the one in Chetney’s vision. We also know that there has not been anyone from the feywild who is also Ruidusborn until Fearne, so maybe Ludinus has not had the chance before now. I mean we have also seen Ludinus try and kidnap Fearne before in the lava pit where the Shard of Rai’Shan was found. All of this is just a theory obviously, but I am definitely scared for Fearne atp.
@@philipdavenport3403I would love to see Grog, but I also want to see more member of the Mighty Nein or just Beau and Caleb come back and finish the job they started with Ludinus. With the most recent M9 one-shot, I would love for them to finally be able to fully close this Cerberus Assembly stuff together with BH.
@@BeesAreGroovy ooohhhh what a perfect time to call upon her deal with the champion of hell if she ever is put in that situation! Great theory you have there
*@DarkLawYGO --* It is not surprising either. Most of the CR cast hare dog owners, most notably Marisha Ray (Laudna) and Matt Mercer (Dungeon Master), with their dog boy of Omar (corgi). Likewise, Ashley Johnson has had multiple dogs across her life ([4:11] - _"I mean, you- you can't bring a dog and then expect me to not give it pets.")._
Was at this panel and Watching them all fawn over the dog was hilarious. But even funnier was watching Ashley vault off of the sage into the dark in search of it, then scramble back up because there were no stairs.
Thank you for uploading this, when you're there in the crowd you sometimes just...get too hyped up and forget half of what was said lol. the dog part was amazing. Everyone loved that dog.
I had a strong feeling Taliesin was in the chronic pain club because of the way Ashton is portrayed. He was just too in the know to not be (at least in my mind). So from this fellow club member, thank you! It is super cool to see something that is so underrepresented done so so well.
I love them all so much! I really appreciate Taliesin playing a character with chronic pain. It makes me feel so seen. I didn't even know how much I needed that.
As someone who has had arthritic pain since I was about 11 years old, I can relate to that constant low level pain you just adjust to. I kind of loved that about Ashton. And now I admire Taliesin just that little bit more!
Funny enough, I remember on Saturday thinking, hey Critical Role does live sessions and shit, I wonder if I could see them at some point. I checked my phone and found out they had a panel at Emerald City Comic Con and I got excited. I checked to see when it was and turned it, it was four hours from then. I live in England so even if I could still get tickets I wouldn't have made it. So it's nice to see it on RU-vid.
as someone that also suffers from tremmers i feel ur pain talisan especially as there is no cure or treatment to stop it and gets worse the longer you have it
When Matt says that he enjoys the most creating weird historical relics I immediately thought about deadric ruins in Morrowind, this place of croocked shapes and weird arches had an immense impact on my worldbuilding later in life.
43:50 What WAS Marisha talking about in this moment? 🧐 I'm all caught up to episode 86, but I don't recall Laudna holding Imogen back from something...
I reaaally feel that Laura was right and this wasn't on stream lol We do see Imogen floating but Laura never holds onto her or anything. The crowd here even felt super unsure like they were just trying to reassure them lol we'll have to wait for thursday and see
She meant the moment when Imogen levitated after the flare on the moon, when she saw it she had the thought to grab her and pull her down, and then had a moment of realization that if she had done that she would have been literally holding Imogen down/back. it's implied that she felt guilty after that realization and refrained from trying to get Imogen out of the sky.
I’m glad marisha allowed tal a space to talk about his pain. He’s little “I can’t believe no one has asked me that before” shows that he really wanted to talk about it. Love them both ❤
To be honest, Travis rolls three death saves at the same time whenever he wakes up and they cheat death every day. So that being said, I say let the weird Hag contacts rip. Stack em up big guy, become the smallest werewolf god before you punch your ticket. Yeenoghu had a good run, supplant that mutt.
[2:55, 3:29, 4:10] *- **_Dog_** --* That the dog easily followed Ashley Johnson (Fearne Calloway) onto the stage (albeit with owner too), and readily licked Liam O'Brien (Orym) and Marisha Ray (Laudna), goes to show how genuinely good of people the Critical Role are; that the dog could immediately sense safe and positive 'vibes' from the CR cast. I was mildly surprised that Matt Mercer (Dungeon Master) did not get in on the dog-love action, as both he and Marisha are very loving dog-parents (Omar the Corgi). Thanks for uploading this, *AJFilms 28.* :)
I assume the owner was fine with all of what happened, but it was still very clearly a service animal. I know if it were me on stage, (as much as a LOVE dogs, and always give them all the pets) I would probably feel a bit uncomfortable keeping the dog from doing it's job for any longer.
@@ShesAaRebel-- Yes, you see glimpses of the (presumably) dog's owner to the Left of the screen at times. I am also reasonably certain the dog's owner, likely a CR-fan, was more than fine to have her dog (probable service/support animal, yes) being given such loving attention by the CR cast (remember, most of the CR cast are dog parents themselves), and 5-ish minutes of CR fame. *;)*
@@ShesAaRebel They asked permission to have the dog to come up and Ashley asked before she knelt down to pet it when she walked down there off stage. And this wasn't the first time - before the panel started the dog went up with all the cosplayers to pose for pictures and stuff. The owner was totally cool with having the dog go pose with a bunch of people, go up on stage without her, and be touched/petted and stuff. It seemed like a really well-behaved critter that was having the time of its life and its owner was always close by and didn't seem at all put out by anything.
@@LlarytheTN-- Correct. As said, the owner was close by, and you can clearly see that the dog immediately sensed and knew it was safe (& loved) among the CR cast. Additionally, there is another video with a better and clearer camera angle, the dog in indeed a Service Animal, the harness had the words _"Service Dog"_ stitched upon it.
49:22 God knows how much I ship Molly and Caleb… I’m so happy to know that these two might actually be a thing in a perfect world, yet knowing that this chance is forever missed due to Molly’s death makes me SO SAD… 😢 What if, what if Molly lived, even just for another 20 episodes… huge THANK YOU to whoever asked this question. THANK YOU
Travis's next toy making project for Chetney is to make a boat and rope for Laudna which in turn she casts animate object spell on like she did with Pâté. I'm still waiting for Marisha to have Laudna cast the same spell on Sashimi that she did with Pâté.
*@xenosaga8436 --* Legend of Vox Machina (LoVM) season 03 is due out later this year (2024). LoVM s03 has been effectively ready since late 2023, but the CR crew (purposefully) held off finishing and release, in support of the [2023 Writers Guild of America strike]. [Side-Note]: LoVM production was *NOT* actually affected/halted by the WGA Strike, but the CR crew (particularly Matt Mercer) were supportive of the WGA Strike. The Mighty Nein (M9) animated series is currently in production concurrently with LoVM s04-05. It was stated that the M9 series will follow *AFTER* LoVM is completed. So if/when the M9 is released, it will have at least 2+ seasons made. As a further _'Long Horizon'_ note, talks are already underway upon green-lighting a Bells Hells (BHS) animated series too; but such BHS production would not begin until after [CR Campaign #3] is complete and M9 is released.
