Cat Feldman Except for Jester’s voice. That one was kinda questionable lol, to the point where I think everyone started thinking of it as Kiri’s voice.
The big takeaway here is that even PROFESSIONAL voice actors go into giggle fits when other voice actors do funny voices at the table. So even if you try one yourself at a table and everyone starts laughing, don't feel like you're doing a bad job because it's all in fun! Give it a try!
remind me of something Penn Jilette said. "Magicians like magic more than non-magicians". You can entertain people working in a field with things specific in that field, specifically because they know how it works, and that makes it more enjoyable for them
6:00 Today I learned 1. There is a sound/gesture for yanking a spine upwards out of a body, that will put the image in your head without the need of the word “spine” 2. Matt can do that sound/gesture
I know, right?? His face is just full with admiration for his friend it's so adorable. "Did- Did you just see that? The cork sound! How could one do *that*? What kind of sorcery is that??"
I can do it to, it's not that hard, just inhale but constrict your throat so the gap is smaller, cant explain how to get the fluctuations though it kinda just happens
@@sam3564 You just have to be very conscious of what your doing with your mouth, the more you concentrate on what your doing the easier it is to figure out how to fix what your doing wrong
I listened to that episode while gaming. At some point, I tabbed over and realized who I thought was Travis was actually Sam, and I had to start the episode over.
@@lunararsenal7187 Definitely one of the early ones. They were asking it to guard a guest in their keep until they returned, I think it was right before the beginning of the Briarwood arc.
I remember watching the one shot for 7:33 and being absolutely confused when I didn't see Travis' mouth move. Even now despite having previous knowledge, I had to flip back to make sure.
I had a period of time where I only listened to the podcasts and I had to stop that episode before it got properly started 'cause I was SO confused as to who the fuck was speaking.
I will always remember how Matt caused an almost IRL TPK the moment he first spoke as Victor. Just seeing so many of them having to duck their heads to not watch & to hide their laughter, still brings me joy. Hell, I would LOVE to see TM9 meet Victor, I know that it would be difficult because of how long after the end of S1 their current Campaign takes place, as well as being on different continents (iirc), still, I would LOVE to see them meet Victor, especially Nott & Clay.
@@Altyrell *SPOILERS FOR CAMPAIGN ONE CONCERING VICTOR BELOW* . . . . . . . . . . . . . Victor is dead. Matt confirmed that he died during the Siege of Vasselheim by Vecna and the Titan. Im pretty sure he discusses this in the after/post campaign Talks Machina. Apparently a group of Vecna's necromancer cult lackeys went knocking on Victor's hut during the siege. Victor set off his stores of blackpowder and blew him and the cultists+undead all to hell. This was mentioned because one of the cast asked what ever became of Victor. Matt explains how the distant explosion they heard during the assault on Vecna's tower was Victor going out in a blaze of glory.
@@DeathnoteBB some people can do it by forcing air out and closing up their throats, but usually you do it while super slowly and tightly inhaling. Which... kinda hurts after a while and DEFINITELY takes a lot if practice to sound that good at. I can do like 2 sentences before my voice is like "nope"
Pretty sure people have noticed but at 1:49 Liam and Sam both turn their heads at the same time when Matt does his Victor voice for the first time and both start laughing at the same time as well.
I love how you can see matt get excited about realizing he could say thicker liquor around 16:30 and how happy is to be doing that first Pumat Sol scene
15:58 i absolutely adore the looks on marisha, laura, and taliesin's faces when matt pops the button on his shirt 😂 they're all reacting the same way but for entirely different reasons
@@Barrlounge Hell, his "Vicious Mockery" Voice fmrly as Molly should've told you that lol. Though, I do love when he said that "Tears are what makes him Immortal" on a recent episode after their guest had came to tears.
May I suggest the Gnolls in early C2 if you go through this again? Matt being able to make those hyena noises absolutely ENTHRALLED me, I've been trying to mimic those for years lol
Soda Wax I don’t have a time stamp but it’s in the second episode (I think) of the first campaign after Orion tries and fails to break into lord thunderbrands house, the same house that Scanalan breaks into while invisible. Keyleth is disguised as a dwarf to try to convince the guy to teach Orion some magic and her Scottish accent is very Swedish.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JTie0S_5gjE.htmlh53m16s thank you so much I found with your direction. Ill for sure add it to the next edit :)
Edit: Im about 80% done with the next one of these and you folks are going to be so happy! :) I know there are sounds and accents and great voice acting moments missing from this supercut. Tell me what I missed and include a time stamp and I will include it in the next edit. I am especially looking for: -Matt imitating Tiberius Edit: Found -Matt imitation horse hooves Edit: Found but it was Talisen -Ashley bagpipe music :Edit:Found!!. -The sail ripping on the pirate ship Edit: Found!! -Cast talking underwater: Edit: Found I know they exist but I could not find them. Help me collect them all :)
Good job! Will wait to see more! 1. Probably episode with Kamaljiori, when Scanlan goes with Vex to scout an area as a raven, Taliesin makes another wonderful raven noises 2. Arrow stuck in the wall sound (especially the moment, when Vex hits it, Matt does the sound, Laura starts to ask to wait, corrects herself to even better number to hit and Matt does the sound again, different this time) 3. Horn fail! 4. All Chroma Conclave dragons please! And dragon breath effects. 5. Jester's "Yasha!" shout in E69 plus a moment later Matt's sound effects of steps behind closed door and hits into it from the other side.
1.thanks I'll look it up 2. Yep found that one 3.lol yep got it 4. Going to do Thordac but will check the others for cool moments too. 5. thanks I'll look for this one too :-)
Liam's robot voice is THE CRAZIEST THING dfjsfkdh and omg Sam at 7:31 I thought the feed was glitching because Trav's lips weren't moving You missed the sound effect where Grog fires Taryon's crossbow and Matt mimes the sounds of Doty writing with a quill on paper. SO uncanny!
Love the video! Great idea! There are so many great moments when they set each other off! The Night Before Critmas has lots of little moments like that from Marisha's "Traditional" accent to Travis' "seasoned" elf accent. Liam does loads of good work as the GM but he even makes reference to the voice he's doing starting around 24:50. Even Ashley's New York accent gets a critique along the way. Just watch the whole thing when you have time. You may find a few favorites of your own.
Oh my God, that's so amazing! Thank you so much! As soon as I have the time I'll help you search for the timestamps of other outstanding voice & accent work
Awesome thank you. I have found most of them the one that it still eluding me is the dissonant whispers one where the whole cast did creepy voices..maybe for a Jester spell? I just can't for the life of me find it. Also happy to take suggestions for other things I've missed. I've got a pretty big running list now.
@@sodawax3457 Is it perhaps the moment where she used thaumaturgy to make infernal whispers and the cast helped? I think that's the ep where they dealt with the gnome kids.
AHHHH YES thank you!! I would not have been able to find it without your help! Ill add it to the next edit :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TawI9iJIxBc.htmlh06m28s
Im so so sorry. I thought it was wrong because it was so early in the ep...but of course it would be part of a sam add. Thank you. I have it now :) I would have never found that with out you. Thanks sooo much!!
Thank you :) I'm already working on the next one because a) i have remembered a lot i have missed and b) The last clip from someones phone needs a lot of audio work and maybe subtitles. But I'm super happy you like it :)
As soon as I saw Tiberius I was waiting for him to start eating the snacks. It's like he can't afford food so he plays D&D with them for the free snacks
Trying to get better at voice acting to tell better stories to my Scouts...step one....quit smoking. Tonsil health (and health in general) make a big difference.
