Disassmbly and cleaning of the CRKT CEO Flipper. This is my Son's knife, he let me borrow it for a video so I thought I would clean it up for him. After I did this this video I notice a few chips in the blade so I sharpened it up.
This video was so well done and full of great info, thank you! Just ordered the CEO black handle/black blade version. It's one of those very unique designs I never would've expected to like as much as I do. But it's so clean and sleek and discreet and light with a very useful blade. This one's coming to work with me every day shirt pocket clipped right next to my Olight Baton 3.
I like the flipper version alot better. This was my Son's, I have the thumbstud version. He has beaten it to death and its still holding up. Thanks for checking the video out!!!
I just ordered this and I hear that when people first get it it’s very stiff and hard to flip open and not as easy as everyone else’s is. How can I fix this if mine ends up being the same?
I would try to loosen the pivot just a little bit. Do like 1/8 of a turn at a time and check for blade play and centering. This one worked fine so hopefully yours will too. Thanks for checking the video out!!!
@@factorsofjack is loosening the pivot what you were doing near the end of the video when testing how easily it would fall back into place? Sorry I don’t know much about these knives
@@davidcarnogursky8895 yes, exactly. It takes a torx bit size T8. You can get a whole set at Walmart real cheap. Makes sure it has a T6, T8 and T10 the most common sizes needed for knives.
