😉😊😂 Supposedly my family history includes the McDermotts ...or maybe the Sheridans (?) who came from a castle now in ruins from County Mayo. I wish my dad had taken us up this mountain when we visited those ruins in the early 70's. I think it was McDermott Castle come to think of it. Anyway I remember the beautiful views of the sea ...but from up there it is absolutely ethereal. Maybe St. Patrick may have even been given a vision by God up there of all the Irish (Scots, Welsh, English & others) who would one day cross that very Atlantic and find a "New World"? It is something that I have been planning to do all of my life, to climb up to the top of Reek and pay a visit to Saint Patrick's special home. I have knelt in the same spot as Saint Patrick did, I have knelt beside Saint Patrick, Saint Brigit, Saint Kevin's & possible Saint Columba grave on the Hill of Down in Downpatrick but I have never claimed those rocky slopes to visit Saint Patrick Church high up in the sky, in Co Mayo, Overlooking the wild Atlantic sea. I plan to carry out my wish some fine day when it is not raining so I can see God's creation for miles around looking from the top of the Reek
Some walk John. I got there early as I didnt want to be flying a drone around while people wanted to achive there goals. I was shocked when I seen some people at the top hence why I didn't go the whole way to the top.
@@DroningaboutIreland The only downfall with the Phantom is the size of the Drone. I am looking at getting a Mavic as they are small and compact. Practice makes perfect and enjoy 😁
