I read you’re not allowed to fly drones round Krka, is this a fineable offence? I just want to know as I’m going in a few weeks

When I visited Croatia, there were no restrictions to fly over non-populated areas. However, things may have changed and I suggest you check for the most updated drone regulations in Croatia.

@@mikisivan Lol, just because you didn't know about the restrictions doesn't mean they didn't exist. You flew illegally. Nice footage anyways

@@AnEnemyAnemone1 Glad you enjoyed my video. (P.S. you claim that taking this video was an illegal act. Can you substantiate your claim by providing a link to a Croatian government website citing that ordinance which I, allegedly, violated?)

@@mikisivan I can't point to a specific ordinance without digging further into legal codes in a language I don't speak, but if you google "Krka national park rules", the first result is the official NP's website with visitor rules. Within 5 seconds you should be able to locate the rule about drones: "Drones or other unmanned aerial equipment are not allowed in Krka National Park." If you aren't being disingenuous, I'm sure you can understand that rules don't exist without enforcement mechanisms, which implies that it is effectively (and likely actually) illegal to fly drones there. Moreover, legality isn't really of primary concern. Whether or not an act is technically illegal or not (or it has to be enforced by other means such as trespassing) is separate from whether or not it's wrong to do. It is clearer than the waters of Krka that visitors flying drones isn't good for its conservation (according to its governing bodies). As a nature enthusiast, hopefully you can understand and respect that rule, whether or not you claim ignorance about any specific ordinance.

@Joe Biden 2 Yil You wrote long and addressed many points. You are sincere and you deserve a sincere answer. It is below addressing your points one by one: Miki Sivan I can't point to a specific ordinance without digging further into legal codes in a language I don't speak, [Miki:] In simple words, you accused me “You flew illegally” without having any support. Just a speculation that there “must be somewhere some law” which I broke… It would be more appropriate if you wrote “I believe you flew illegally”. ------------------------------------- but if you google "Krka national park rules", the first result is the official NP's website with visitor rules. Within 5 seconds you should be able to locate the rule about drones: "Drones or other unmanned aerial equipment are not allowed in Krka National Park." If you aren't being disingenuous, I'm sure you can understand that rules don't exist without enforcement mechanisms, [Miki:] That’s correct. This applies also to Plitvice park and others. All national parks in Croatia may apply regulations to visitors entering their respective parks. ----------------------------------- which implies that it is effectively (and likely actually) illegal to fly drones there. [Miki:] National parks have legal jurisdiction only on what enters the gates of the park (people, drones, etc.). Outside the gates of the parks the management of the national parks have no jurisdiction. Only the government of Croatia has legal jurisdiction outside the gates of the park. As the government of Croatia has no law forbidding flying drones and taking videos - there was not law broken by me. ------------------------------------- Moreover, legality isn't really of primary concern. ------------------------------------ [Miki:] My first reply to you addressed your false accusation “You flew illegally”. If you wish to switch to other subjects (such as conservation, safety, etc.) - you are welcome to write to me to question@sivan.hk - I will be happy to reply by email to you (or others) on sincere questions and explain why flying a small electric drone with a camera doesn't cause any adverse effect on conservation and safety. This here is a RU-vid channel, showing videos. This is not a forum for debating general questions.
