We added Croatia to the backend of our Italy Trip 2024.
I broke this tour into three videos as there was so much to see. We had the most passionate tour guide who loves this park.
We booked a trip to Plitvice Lakes National Park from Split. It’s a 3 hour drive from Split via a tour van. We used “Get your Guide” which included the price of admission. We had one bathroom stop on the way up. We were in the park for about 4 hours which included about 3.5 miles of walking with an elevation gain of 500 feet. There was a break in the park with a bathroom stop and time for a quick bite to eat. We also took a bus ride in the park and finished the tour with another walk. The 3 hour ride back to Split included a stop for a late lunch and another bathroom stop. It was a long day but worth every minute of it.
Bring a water bottle and good walking shoes. Hiking sticks if you like to use them.
We used Get your Guide. We booked ahead of time and prices were reasonable. You can cancel up to the day before if need be. Just be careful as some of the admission prices are an extra cost in addition to cost of tour. We also had trouble paying on line through the GET YOUR GUIDE app. Pay pal seemed to work fine with the app as opposed to using your credit card. The other issue is you are limited on time during the tours.
