A lot of media guys disrespected Croatia, they might be older but they finished second at 2018, at the Euro they lost to Spain in extra time, and in the recent nations league the won the group with France,Denmark and Austria(losing only to Austria - 4W1D1L record) and suddenly everyone thought Canada will qualify instead of them.Canada did better then expected so far and they have good team to build around for the next world cup.

well, if Croatia is older then Canada is too. People don't realize but the average age of both teams is pretty similar Narrative that Canada is young and Croatia aging and too old it's not really true and dont make much sense.

@@capluio8155 I meant Croatia team is older compared to their previous team (16euro18WC 20euro).Also their players have MUCH MORE GAMES played in their careers compared to Canada players.Age is not the only indicator.

A good learning experience for the next WC. Regardless of additional motivation, Croatia are just too good for Canada to beat them. Their midfield took control after about 30 min and from then on it was over for Canada.

Canada did fine when you look at all of the contributing factors, including the "super-rich planted official" in game one. They scored on Croatia which is in-of-itself awesome. No...they were never going to win this game against Croatia but who actually thought they would....honestly? You sound like you were worried they might. Croatia TIED Monaco! We played very naively after taking the lead, we played right into Croatia's hands, carrying the ball forward slowly and trying to play a possession game, and letting them strike on the counterattack... too bad we couldn't get a result against Belgium, but as a Canadian, at the start of this qualifying cycle, I honestly would have been happy with just getting into the final Concacaf qualifying round, so I really can't complain...

Rivalry is between two adversaries of the proper level. Like Croatia and England or France. Where have you Canadians been for the past 40 years? Croatia has qualified for almost every major cup since its independence.

yes, its in our blood to do things out of spite and prove people wrong who disrespect us, probably wouldve been a 2-1 win for us, but because of your coach's comments, and that scum cetnik as your keeper, we wanted to smash you lot as much as possible, and 4-1 was lucky, we shouldve made it at least 7-1 with the chances we had.
