Accurate information about my homeland, but the sound goes terrible somewhere at the 6-minute mark. Take care of lower frequencies below 200 Hz. Puno pozdrava iz Splita -Hrvatska. Božji blagoslov I svako dobro. 🙂
A very interesting video.... I had seen videos on the Ottoman-Portuguese wars in India, bt never made the connection between Croatian Janisaries abroad...
@@HistoryFirst Harder to hear - especially the bassy backgrounds. If you want to have a background music, let it be very soft melodious soothing music without bass - like chimes, piano etc & keep the volume low. This works in documentary/information style videos. It should not distract from the crucial information you are presenting.
What's the best thing about Croatian history is that all archeologists who were adventuring through Asia , Europe and Africa found at least something that is attachdd to Croatian culture and they then concluded that the Croats as a nation and as a country are old as amuch as 50 000B.C and even beyond that. It was also written on a google article aoubt pre historic Croats a.k.a Harahvati in Asia, Hurveti in Africa and Hrvati or Chorvati in Europe. Also the Harahvati have the little known nick name of "Father of all nations"
Contemporary sources have proved that the Republic of Ragusa had nothing to do with São Bras or any part of Goa, that entire area had been under complete Portuguese control since 1510. The church was also built by the Portuguese, the architectural style is the same as for other parish churches in Goa built during that same time period and doesn't resemble any Croatian churches. It's no mystery, Matisic and other Croat writers lied to exaggerate Ragusa's international importance.
after looking back at the evidence I do think your right, although it does seem very likely Ragusan merchants and sailors were in the area, they may have been too few in number to set up their own colony or settlement
