After diving and working wrecker to recover over 400 vehicles I can truly say those drivers are clueless😂

Just so you all know. That is MY truck that is being pulled out of the water. Thank you to everyone that pointed out that YES, we are from New Jersey and NO we aren’t all bad drivers. The mystery here…. Where’s the trailer??? Do you see that beautiful 30foot Larson boat in the background, yes the one with the trailer attached…. That’s our boat with the trailer. We were leaving the marina when our trailer came off the hitch and nearly crashed and injured other boaters. My husband put the truck in park (4 wheel drive was on)and ran out to try and help when the truck started to slide back. What happened to us was horrible but thankfully no one was injured. We did nothing wrong. Thank you to Miami Dade police and all of the GOOD citizens that helped us out in our moment of despair. It isn’t funny when something like this happens to YOU and people are cracking jokes and being insensitive. I don’t care for any of your ridiculous and hurtful comments at the end of the day we’re just happy no one was injured. And just FYI we are paying out of pocket for everything there is no insurance scam or anything here. Reserve your judgments for yourself and remember to be kind to others.

You should always use a semi wrecker for pulling out a submerged vehicle. Because of the weight and force of the water in and around the vehicle. The smaller trucks don't have the winch capacity, or the weight to counterbalance the load. You often have other wreckers, or crew to help with rigging. I've worked several of these type of incidents myself when I drove tow truck. You always want to hook up to the frame

New subscriber love the channel! Tow truck drives have to do recovery with no damage or as little as possible as the tow company can be charge for extra damage they do have insurance for this just don't know the deductible. I know someone that does mostly big rig recovers

Insurance companies will generally total a vehicle after it sinks. The water screws up all the electronics and wiring. You can never get the fish smell out of them either.

There is a show about canada big rig towing that uses those big ass, stabilizing tow trucks. They got semi trucks out of ditches etc... I guess a truck full of water would be the equivalent lol I loved that show lol

I was wondering how much effort it takes to get the truck back on his wheel. I guess clear water everywhere first, then drying the inside and purging all fluid in the engine + removing water from the engine. And for sure new battery and maybe some new electric parts like fuses etc It could be an interesting project

The tow truck operator went for the grand door opening to floods of water and epically failed. The electrics will obviously be shot in this situation, making me doubt he’s even attended a similar situation before. Although his standing in decapitation position beside the tow line makes me wonder whether he’s just forgotten.

I'm Australian and we have some big salt water crocs but your bighty mate there wouldn't look like a midget amongst most of them, and there's no way you'd get me jumping in that water knowing there's any like him around. I presume he'd be as dangerous as ours which is VERY dangerous.

Among the hundred things that are just a 'chit show ' during this recovery, the smaller TV guy puts the redirect sheave on the tensioned line of the big boy 16:57 , then lets go of it AND walks away ! Meanwhile the sheave rolls down the line into the drink ! Unbelievable !

The big one from watching Ron Pratt video's looks like a 50 ton fixed body, it is needed to pull the truck, water in the truck/fight suction of mud around the tires, and boat/trailer out.. The little one odds are is to haul the boat/trailer away with the flatbed wrecker to pull the truck on its bed...... I have seen Ron in the mid-west pull truck and trailer, but local laws may not allow that kind of daisy-chain... .. I have also seen wreckers pull a truck on the flatbed and a trailer on there wheel lift system off the back rather then having a second car/truck...... Oh I see this is a different truck then what I watched last night where the truck was getting a boat out of the water after a storm and the truck seamed to slip into the water...

Tow companies that like to scam insurance companies do this , they send small truck to start the clock and make sure no one else can take their tie away ! Most likely they are on what’s called rotation which means the cops called them and they try to get as much equipment on scene as possible and this tow bill will be five times what it would have regularly cost
