Can we take a second to appreciate her? Like she's the sweet aunt that we need. I can totally imagine crocheting and chatting/or gossiping with her. Such a sweet soul ❤️
Kudos for having such an amazing tutorial! I spent most of my day trying to make a coaster but nothing turned out. Thank goodness I came across your tutorial. It was like you were sitting right beside me instructing me the entire way. My coaster is gorgeous. Thank you so much! I'm out the door to buy more yarn! You made this project so much fun!
I have watched several videos trying to learn the magic ring and I had given up. But finally I get it! Thank you for your clear and easy instructions! 🙂
Thank you 🙏 thank you, thank you for the best magic ring tutorial ever!!! Hello light bulb moment!!! I can confidently use magic 🪄 💍 ring and not shy away from patterns that use it. I love your Sunrise coasters! They were the perfect thank you gift with a bottle of wine for my Airbnb vacation stay. I made them during my stay so the color palette went perfectly with the home, and they were so fun and easy to make. Plus, they sit absolutely flat without starching. My hosts loved it. I did, too. I ended up making a few for myself and they work wonderful! Such a simple yet useful and colorful addition to a morning cup of coffee or tea ☕️
I'm about to start a couple temperature blankets for my kids' first year of life. I haven't crocheted in several years, so I wanted to make a few small things just to get back in the groove before starting the blankets. This was the perfect little project. I'm going to order some of the 24/7 yarn for the blankets, but I used some cotton yarn I found at Walmart for this. It came out so pretty! I can't wait to try the 24/7 yarn. I've only ever used twisted yarns in the past, so I'm really intrigued. I'm hoping it's softer than what I just used. I struggled to find an all natural fiber that had enough colors to choose from so I could get the "perfect" colors for the blankets. So I'm about to drop a few hundred $ on a yarn I've never felt 🤣 Lord let me like this yarn!
This video was so fun and i made it one sunrise coaster (yarn using: Oeko-Texr cotton yarn what I brought in Sinelli which is my favorite craft store and I use 3.5mm hook) when I watching this video (i have paused little, because I'm not very good crocheting and watching RU-vid videos at same time). So HUGE THANK YOU for this tutorial, because it's was so fun and easy and i get more practice using magic ring.
Oh so perfectly cute! Exactly what I was looking for. They'll make perfect little gifts! Maybe pared with a small journal tied up with jute, or a mug with speciality teas bags. Thanks so much!
Cute! Thank you for the pattern. I've been enjoying having your tutorials playing while I'm working at my day job. It feels like I have a (fab!) coworker to enjoy my coffee with :)
Wow! I'm a beginner and magic rings have always given me some trouble, but I'd never seen the method you used before. SO SIMPLE! For that alone I already love this video ❤
Oh my gosh! I followed this video step by step and made my very first crochet project 😊. It may not be large but it turned out great and I’m really proud of myself for taking this first step. I couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you!!
I really appreciate that you show the beginning basics no matter how many times you have shown it in other videos. There are many other creators that go "just start by doing ____" but don't show themselves doing it. I'm more hesitant to do something if I am not 100% on how it should be done. 😩 You make it perfectly clear each time.
Thanks for an awesome video! I love how you show us exactly where the next stitch is! You are a great teacher! And counting too, that took me a while to learn how to tell where the top of each stitch is, it's so important! Thanks again!
As a BEGINNER…I just completed my very first coaster…surprised myself crocheting in the round…to make the Sunrise Coaster..using a variegated “Hobby Lobby Crafters’s Secret cotton “…no mention of final finished coaster size but my coaster size …from fin edge to fin edge is 6”…..and I have 10 fins…not 12! No matter I love it! The instructions were great…camera angle great …and the teacher’s voice easy to follow. This coaster pattern was perfect for a beginner…increasing with DC stitches…and making a fin! SO happy to have found this coaster design and crochet teacher!! I will now look for the Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton yarn… maybe it is not as loosely woven a cotton yarn as is the Hobby Lobby cotton yarn.
Thanks so much for Crochet Academy! I’ve been crocheting since my grandmother taught me as a young girl. But learning that way I missed (or forgot) some of the fundamentals and this course has been fantastic. You are the best. I’ve recommended this to all my friends who’ve wanted to learn to crochet ❤️
OMG. This was the easiest thing I've done. It looks awesome. I changed colors each round. I love how the stitch count was mentioned each round to make sure ya dont get off. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Absolute beginner here! Best tutorial to learn off of, goes slow and explains everything so thoroughly and the way she made a magic circle so much easier than I’ve seen before. THANK YOU ❤
Could you provide a chart or directions if you wanted to make those coasters larger to place under pots for plants or for the kitchen because they are just adorable!! ❤
Such a simple and beautiful pattern especially with Christmas coming up. Your tutorials are so clear and well explained. I find them very helpful especially since I was a knitter first. I’m growing to appreciate crocheting more and more. Your ears must be burning because my knitting group is talking about your book often. My group started at River Colors in Lakewood, Ohio. Unfortunately I missed you when you were there. Thanks for your time today.
You are a great teacher for first time crocheters. Thank you so much. You are super clear with your instructions. This was my first time doing a project with you. I'm making coasters for my sister's new condo. I can't wait to give them to her. So looking forward to finding more projects on your page. Thank you😊❤
Thank you 😊 Toni for your coasters of sunshine. I'm looking forward to learning from you . I have been crocheting since my grandmother and mother taught me when I was 5 (now 58). I'm so glad that crochet has become fashionable again. Thanks Liz
Grabbed some Sugar & Cream cotton I had left over from a kitchen project and followed your tutorial. It was so easy and cute. This will be my default coaster pattern from now on. Thanks!
I haven’t even finished watching the video yet and I have to say that that is the easiest magic ring I’ve ever seen done! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
😮OMG I love you so much, I can’t thank you enough! Your personality is beautiful, I was so sad and stressed do too an illness and was having panic attacks that lended me in the hospital and I decided to pick up on what once as a child my mom tough me but obviously we grow up and life takes the best out of us. My mental health has improved so much I’m so thankful and grateful to God to have put you on my path. Thank you thank you so sooooo much. ❤️💞💓❤️‼️The joy in your teaching filters through every project. Outstanding!😊
Thank you thank you !!! I happened upon your video for crochet coaster …. You showed how to do the magic ring and I’ve been trying for a few weeks now, YOU MADE IT SO CLEAR !!!!!! I’m so happy !!!! Thank you so much … I’m now subscribed !!!!!!! 😊♥️
I have tried 2 different coaster patterns today, they didnt turn out flat, i was about to give up, then i found you, my coaster turned out perfect you explain things so well, thank you!
Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial!! I’m an absolute beginner this is my first ever project and it’s so so easy to follow along too!! I love that it looks more advanced than it really is, this will be an amazing present for my mom. Thank you again!!❤
I absolutely love this! I would also like to know if I can sell my products made with your pattern. Is it allowed? I would be really glad to recieve your answer
Oh my gosh I can not thank you enough for this! I was able to follow your lead Perfectly & my coaster turned out so beautiful! I’m looking forward to making more… like Today!! Lol 💚🧡💛 Blessings to you- Sommer
Thank you so much! your tutorial was clear and easy to understand, you made sure not to skip stitches too! Being able to "crochet along" is what really helped me get the pattern. Also, your voice is calm and clear and made my anxious brain calm down enough to work through the stumbles. Thank you so so so much! Subscriber for life.
26min video for something i spent almost three hours to get lmao this channel is SO good, i love her voice, and she explains everything so well. it took me awhile because i was always messing something and had to redo soooo much stuff but it turned out so good. thank you for your video, my first crochet project is done !
Hi Tiny. Thank you for this yummy pattern. I would like to go that little bit thinner yarn for coaster/doilies. I live in Wales GB and I am currently working with DK cotton, there are so many different yarns available I don’t want to waste money on one too thin. I hope you can help. Thank you xxx
At 55, I'm now learning to crochet. A group of old ladies at my church decided to start a project in doing blankets for cancer patients. I've not been to the class only because I didn't want to feel stupid at my age😊. Looking at your videos and the passion, gives me so much confidence ❤😊
I am a beginner and it was so easy to follow, because you are an awesome teacher! Thank you so much for this great and motivating lesson. I had a lot of fun and the coasters are looking very beautiful. Much love❤ thanks
I love this, thank you. My first one was perfect. I messed up somewhere on my second one but you wouldn’t know it. Maybe I need to take it a little slower on my third one to get the stitches done properly, 😂
Thank you!! first time I can understand, i could finish my coaster, it´s georgeos. Even though i don´t speak your language. Thanks a lot. You´re great.
I just want to take a second and tell you that you have the sweetest voice and the best video I have seen. I would love to sit with you and crochet. This is the absolute best magic ring I have ever seen. Thank you soooo very much. I subscribed to you. 🤗
Hi Tobi, How do I make a bigger coaster using the same pattern. I would like a wider diameter of this same coaster. Appreciate hearing from you. By the way I have already made 8 of these coasters for. Your RU-vid. Love love them very much
I’ve been making these coasters after watching your video…so easy and fun!! Now, if I wanted to make them bigger to serve as “placemats”, how would I repeat the pattern??
Thank you so much. I crochet this and it was beautiful. Your step by step tutorial was excellent and easily understood. I have a question. I would like to make a larger one in diameter. How should I go about increasing the stitches ??
Hello, great video and love the finished project! I would like to make it a bit bigger to fit under my flower pots. What would be the repeat if I wanted to do two more rows? Thank you!
You placed 2 DC in the second from the last chain and 1 DC in the last chain for round four. That gives me 49 stitches. I ripped out this row numerous times and followed the video. I ended up placing one DC in the last two chains.
Great tutorial. Quick question: if I am working with finer yarn and smaller hook, in order to get the same size can I just repeat the 3rd row, but increase the spacing of the increases until I have the desired circumference?
Thank you so much for a super video and brilliant instruction. I love the pattern, too ❤ I was going to post a pic of my first one I did this morning, but I don't know how to 😂
How do you crochet so fast? I'm starting a business and I don't know if I'm going to be fast enough to keep up with the demand. Any advice would be appreciated.
On the third round is it the same thing like in round 2? Round 3 I can’t tell how you are doing it because it’s done too fast. Can you please show round 3 slower?
This is my first visit to your videos. I love this and you have a great personality. If this is used on top of a cherry piece of furniture will this still hurt my furniture using hot or cold drinks
Girl you are fast! I had the speed on .75 and was still behind lol … to be fair I just taught myself to crochet from You Tube a few years ago but still! Beautiful little coaster and I love your magic ring.. much easier than the methods I’ve tried. ❤
If I wanted to make final row (the patterned row) after the second row (rather than the third) how many stitches do I need to end up with on the second row, is it still 36?
Dunkin Donuts has a hot cider! omg it's delicious and my special once a year treat! Thank you Toni for this beautiful coaster pattern! I knew the second the notification showed up by the thumbnail photo alone that you were releasing a new video ^_^ love your work & your book!
Thank you so much Toni. After Christmas I learnt to crochet all thanks to you. I had tried MANY times to learn for years. Your beginner tutorial with the swatch finally taught me how to do it. Suggesting the beginner yarn so I could see the stitches was a game changer! You make it so clear and easy and teach all the tips, tricks and what to look out for. I just made my first coaster and it actually looks like a coaster! I was wondering if I wanted to make it larger for a doily / table mat, would I increase Round 5 another 12 by stitching a repeat of 2,1,1,1 and then could do round 6 a repeat of 2,1,1,1,1 etc? I teach in a preschool and these would make great mats to present play based activities on 😊 A huge thank you for being such an amazing teacher!
so grateful to have found your channel! This coaster is so cute! I am starting one NOW!! Thank you 🤩 I am a new subscriber for SURE!! Also you are just SOOO cool!!
Never saw this method of making a magic loop! How absolutely simple! ❤ Fantastic tip from a simple coaster tutorial! Thanks Toni! 😊❤ PS...love how relaxed your fingers seem while you are working! I have arthritis in my hands and some tutorial presenters have such tense yarn holding and bent fingers, that it hurts to watch! 😂!
Ok. So i started crocheting ladt week, made a danta hat, 2 x christmas bells, a headband, a snowman head with hat and this is ny far the easiest! 😁 simply amazing!. Thank you!...few days ago fiund out my late Mum was an avid crocheter so now know where i got my crocheting bug! Love love love it! #crochetaddict
Thank you for everything! Your tutorial is t only amazing and I will send you a pic of what I did later, but your kindness and calming voice is so soothing - thank you so much TL!! You have lifted my depression today, and I am forever grateful!
You're amazing!!! Thank you for this beautiful pattern from a beautiful person! Just love watching your videos and your creations....are incredible! I'm making these for my bestie for her birthday! THANK YOU!!
OMG! This was hands down one of my favourite works and I'm very new to crochet!! I enjoyed making this so very much and I really appreciate you being there all the way through ❤ I learnt so many new things! Thank you so much!!
Thankyou. I bought 2 balls of DK cotton on a whim. Now I know why I did. With Christmas coming and I made the decision to make everyone's gifts these coasters will do the job for non family members., or people who suddenly turn up with gifts and you hadn't bought them a gift. Even if nobody turns up with gift iin hand, they will look lovely on my dining table ❤️
I'm a complete newbie when it comes to crochet, I tried other videos to learn but I could never understand what a chain was or how to identify it. Most videos don't record in real time and they always jump cut and makes it super confusing to follow. I really LOVE this style of video tutorial, I have successfully made my very first coaster using this video and I am in the middle of making my third! I've learned so much, thank you!! 😊💕
Queennnnnm!! Thank you! Though I’m not a beginner I appreciate and love your tutelage and simple to follow steps and awesome vids. Question: do you stiffen your coasters? I was thinking of doubling up on the yarn as well. Thank you!!❤❤
Great tutorial! I just found you scrolling through crochet videos and I'm glad I did. I just learned crocheting in the round but the scalloped edges I didn't get. But now I do. Oh I'm so happy. Everything is gonna get some scalloped edges now haha. Thanks for making it so easy to underzsnas and see exactly what you are doing!
I have been struggling to make the magic ring, as shown by other crocheters. You make it so easy! Aced it the first time using your method. Thanks! I love these coasters, so quick and easy!❤❤❤❤❤
OMG….I have NEVER been able to make a darned magic ring!…I pretty mych make my slip knot like this, turns our s out pretty much the same…thank you Toni….cute coaster
I am just learning and was so excited to accomplish this project! However, I need to try a different hook/yarn/practice, because my coaster was 6" across!!! Lol
